I'm definitely guilty of playing propeller roulette. All said and done, the basic result is I'd what hoped for (disabled Gnosis, local thargoid artifacts/bases, traumatic AX survival drama, etc). The only thing I'm disappointed by is that we didn't get to play "lord of the flies" while stuck in the Cone Sector with my fellow space apes.
