It is what it is; long range hitscan weapons & reverski has been a thing since forever, and I don't fault a player for using the available tools to "win" the engagement. I guess if I did have a criticism it would be Nightshady's lame attempt at using this utterly boring match to count coup on his opponent; if it hadn't been an agreed upon duel, Falter would have rightly said "so long pard" and waked out to go fight with someone who actually wanted to do something fun and interesting. This video was an example of why I personally don't fly like that, even if it would save me money and net me more wins.
The Funniest part about this fight, was that not only did Nightshady
challenge me to the 1v1, but he also refused to abide by the initial terms I set, which were:
-
No Synthing Allowed, Whatsoever
1v1
To The Death, Preferably, Unless 1 Party calls GG in Direct due to being unable to continue.
-
And, it's a bit sad that Nightshady covers up the text I send him in his video when he has the white overlayed text stating I am 'threatening to leave.'
Considering that, the first time Nightshady ran 20+ Kilometers and broke our instance, while I stopped and waited for him - I basically considered that a somewhat low wake - as that's just as good as fully running away from a ship that can at most do 417 meters on boost.
If you run so far away that your opponent, with long range A grade sensors (13.5 Kilometers) can't see you anymore, and their SLF returns b/c you are over 30 kilometers out - then yeah, that's basically a Low wake.
Had he just reverted to staying in his reverskii and not completely run away - he would have lost - since when he was pure reverskii, it didn't take me long to adapt to how he was flying - even while suffering from a desync on my end from him breaking the instance.
The Funniest aspect about the Nightshady fight, isn't that he ran though - it's that his FDL
needed to Synth more ammo to even scratch a 240 strength Biweave Gunship.
When my total Ship's hitpoints, equal what he has at 4 pips to sys
(3700 armour, 240 shields V. [I would assume megajoule stack] 1600 ([+]a4 pips to sys 2.38x) shields, 1500 armour]
That really says something about Nightshady as a pilot.
Any actually decent pilot I have lost to in PVP, has been able to kill me, without the aid of synth.
Nightshady is bad, he spent 50 minutes running from a Gunship - he
should feel quite ashamed for that.
If he wasn't crutching on his synth, his poor Accuracy, Time on Target, and Flying would have lost him the match - EZPZ.
