Interesting. Can you use these for voice chat also? Or is the quality bad? Any recorded voice samples?
I haven't tested one for myself, but as far as I know the primary problem of throat microphones is, that they do not actually pick up sounds in the sense of 'sound' from the air, but vibration from where the ... well ... "microphones" touch you throat. According to rumors more "high-endish" throat microphones have improved on that, but if you order a low cost consumer model on the web I would not expect it to record anything that is generated higher than your throat. For example "System" might end up to be somewhat close to "_y_tem" because the two "s" are voiceless, though I don't know how extensive that would be.
The other problems can be seen in reviews: Some report a bad fit for their neck and some models seem to be very sensitive to contact with clothes.
Still, the concept is intriguing. (I might even consider ordering one just to try it, but since I neither own nor have ordered a HOTAS or an Oculus Rift yet my personal priorities for saving up money are elsewhere right now.
