Void Opal prices crashed?

Being pedantic here but, stock clippers don't come with anything you need to mine with but i know what you mean. Also flying around shooting probes at big glowing rocks is still effort, albeit minimal 😉
Yeah, I was just doing a value comparison, although with 24.6 mil I could actually buy the Clipper and everything I would need to go mining. And yeah, there is effort, but I actually found it liberating to not be bound to EDDB data and optimal route planning. I just checked who was paying "well" and went there. 4 jumps total from undock to final sale.

Prices depend a lot of your cargo and station demand!Big cargo low selling prices...Keep you cargo 45-100...youll be fine.

Found some more info on [https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteMiners/comments/eq680n/last_update_and_mining_factfinding_datagathering]

Inara lists two 38 min. old LTD stations for 1.642M. Both in Colonia. Interesting...
Maybe its time to move my core minig crap to colonia and look for some LTD hotspots there.
So long as not everyone does that mining profits should hold up fairly well out here. Our total demand for all gems could probably be filled - for the next year - by a few miners in a week. The people saying that price will be gone when you get here are right, but not for the reason they think.

The LTD superhigh price is caused by the convergence of four states
- Investment
- Civil Liberty
- Expansion
- Public Holiday
combined with an LTD demand which is still reasonably high (because the baseline LTD demand is much higher than other core gems). That price will be there for anyone visiting now.

However, Public Holiday only lasts one or two days, so by the time you get here, it'll be over (though, we may have another one in a different system, of course). You'd probably be better off looking for the same state combination in the bubble, though.

Who said the carriers would cost credits?
Oddly enough, FDev....

"A large amount of credits"

Try reading about it...

There, I'll even give you a link, as it appears difficult to find...

Guess we shall see if they launch..
Pretty old post that, I wonder what will hold to be true.

Seem Python and LTD3 are the new mining gold standard now.
Have build myself hybrid core/laser mining python: https://s.orbis.zone/5u6r
Works well in Boran LTD3 so far. I can switch between core mining, if I find cores, or laser mine 20%+ LTDs in front of my nose, if Im less lucky. Its also more enjoyable and feels less like a grind to be able to switch between different mining mechanics. Im not after Credits/hr that much.
The 224T cargo space is small enough for one session, so I dont need any special defence gear to protect myself or super fast engine to escape. Python is a medium ship, so its also easier to find stations to sell.

But the only information we have... believe what you wish, there is nothing I can say to alter your perception of how terrible the developers are :)
I believe things when I see them, so nothing to alter.
Whether the devs are terrible is of little interest to me.
Management however, now that's a different matter.
It's been a very long time since we have heard from any of the top brass. Very silent but still steering Elite in some random direction.

For me, it is just another game in my library - I'm honestly not bothered by 'the management' or 'the developers' - I paid a pittance for a game I've played for nearly 3,000h so far... It must be doing something right for me.

You wouldn't be a LEP holder, by any chance :devilish:

Is this verified? I've been experimenting the past few days with the best method to find good prices; whether it be Inara (I rarely use EDDB) or the in game tool (window right of commodities screen). I use a 256 cargo mining ship (and transports). I'll try this ^ method and see what I find.
This weekend I've noticed nearly every price I see on Inara/ED are at least 100k below advertised amount but I started out hauling 240 units/painite. I may try starting out at 100 units and see what happens. I guess this is the current mining meta: mine high end minerals over an hour ~, then spend 2 hours + wandering around trying to find the best price which usually requires landing at several places and deciding whether to accept the low prices or continue looking for better. (dreaming of the good ole' days of 770k/unit)

Effort maybe, but since I only started back with the game a few days ago, quite fun. In fact, it's about the only activity I find feels somewhat 'realistic' and involving. And I'm getting better at it, so there's a skill level in there somewhere too I'd say.

Mind you, I was flying around in a Low Temperature Diamond hotspot this morning. Wow, I could have mined a lot of water. So I must still be doing something wrong. Oh well.

Go to system Borann planet A2 and scan the rings with detailed surface scanner. Drop in the middle of the tripple LTD hotspot, 1 Mio. miles away from the nav marker. Here you can do both: core and laser mining of LTDs. Ignorde regular rocks with less than 20% LTD, laser mine higher %. If you find cores with LTD - crack them (% doesnt matter). Also put everything except LTD on yor ignore list to stop collector limpets picking crap up.

Just finished my first Borann run. Found best selling price 1,183,631cr at Sekowski Dock(L) in Pontar (5 min old) on INARA, went there and sold my 224T at exactly that price. Looks good. It was quire easy to fill my Python with LTDs in may belike 2 hours, I didn't stopwatch. Easier than pure core mining VO runs, which I did previosuly. Probably because if additional laser mining.

Prem Beta for me and 2 accounts, so been here a long time.

Wouldn't trust 3rd party programs that most people aren't signed up for, many transactions don't get reported plus the price might drop right after the last sale was reported. To much supply means lower prices simple economics.
