I just got the game and all its DLCs last month and I haven't been able to stop playing lol! But anyway, here's a list of critters I'd love to see added in future DLCs!
(This is a work in progress.)
Passion Projects:
- Sunda Slow Loris. One of my favorite animals!
And almost too cute for their own good...
All slow lorises are listed as either Vulnerable, Endangered, or Critically Endangered by the IUCN; the Sunda species itself is actually on the IUCN Red List. Their primary threats are habitat loss, illegal traditional medicine, and the illegal exotic pet trade. Smugglers do horrendous things to them before they're circulated into the illegal market. Sadly, most don't even make it beyond there... I think adding this little big-eyed primate would be an excellent way to raise awareness to the Slow Loris' plight and educate people about the importance against illegal exotic pet trade.
- Sea Otter. Another favorite of mine, and yes, a very cute animal. They rub their chops/cheeks when they're done eating and hold paws when they sleep so they don't drift away from each other.
These little guys are also endangered due to being over hunted in the early 20th century and modern day oil spills. The Monterey Bay Aquarium actually has a Sea Otter rescue program where they rescue otters in need, rehabilitate them, and then release them back into the wild.
I was fortunate enough to see one of these animals in the wild swimming amongst the kelp. I think any animal lover would adore having a couple of these guys in their zoo!
- Giant Pacific Octopus. Okay, I can dream.
BUT! If we ever get marine animals like fish in a future update, I would give an arm and leg to have an octopus. They are the coolest animal on this planet--change my mind. These animals are so incredibly smart and masters of disguise. They can solve simple puzzles, open jars and bottles, and use tools. They are also notorious escape artists. (Imagine them escaping and wreaking havoc on guests with the new 1.11 update lol!) It would be absolutely rad to see these in the game!
More North American/Central American/Caribbean Animals:
More South American Animals:
More to be added. I'm too tired right now to continue the lists lol.
More European/Eurasian Animals:
To be added.
More Asian Animals:

More African Animals:

More Australian/New Zealand/Oceania Animals:

More Arctic Animals:

Birds:
To be added.
Aquatic/Aquarium Animals:
Okay, but what if fish tanks mimicked exhibits in terms of functionality?
Since we don't have fish, there are tons and tons of ideas!
