VR support 'not at launch' for Odyssey

No. I've had enough with 'jam later' and 'its coming in a future update'.

Parts of ED have been on hold or placeholder for far too long, since FD have had a decent chunk of time EDO has to come in hot and proper like buttered toast.
I reckon the office cleaners wipe down the todo lists on the whiteboards in the game's offices once a month in the deep clean, as the "after launch" stuff seems to vanish without trace.

Can you provide a citation Max, if anyone has made threats?

Most people I've seen have been voicing their dissatisfaction and are just saying they're going to vote with their wallets. Wouldn't you agree that this is their prerogative?
I want buy it if they don't give me VR. It's all over the forums.
As far as "threats" go its not all that threatening now is it and I'm assuming you mean the "No VR, no buy" slogan because as far as I know no one threatened to buy if they don't give them VR.

Besides voting with our wallets is the only leverage we have and it's not like we threaten to key Davids Jag... or would he have a BMW?
It's an unfortunate fact that people in the game community (developers, players, publishers, etc) get actual threats from time to time. Death threats, etc. Please don't conflate "If your product isn't good, I won't buy it." with actual threats.
Maybe you should look up what threat means. There are many different meanings, choose the correct one. I wasn't talking about death threats obviously.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall in FD towers as they decide where the line falls between Horizons and EDO....

All those quotes above had me on edge, I know a lot of VR players are passionate about this topic, and I was worried someone had crossed the line and started making physical threats. No VR No Buy! isn't a threat, its a bargaining position captured into a hashtag friendly slogan.

But if some internet crazy started saying stuff like "if you don't add VR to the game I'm going to do [bad things]" that is a threat, and totally out of line, and I would hope that if anyone seen such a quote somewhere they would have it removed. Not only would it be morally reprehensible to have said such a thing or left it alone and therefore tacitly condoning such comments and behaviour, it would also hurt our campaign.

So I was very glad to see the above resolved as the "threat" is our formidable, terrifying, psychologically disturbing No VR No Buy slogan / hashtag... 😂

I cannot reiterate how important it is to remain polite, constructive and vociferous, we cannot let our passion turn to anger that is then used against us.

I agree. But being called a troll because I don't like some of the terminology that some people are using, well that gone.out the window already.

If they don't make VR for Odyssey I swear that... D'OH!

I would hazard a guess that the decision has already been made and they're just not willing to communicate it. Probably don't want to face the fallout 😂

I bet its not bad at all, and its EDO improvements in Horizons. But then I can't understand why it should be considered top secret, its not new content just framing what the update is and its boundaries.

You will be able to purchase the VR DLC with the wonderful ARX.
Oh crap! then I still won't be able to buy it as I refuse game corporations money laundering scams - have to buy more than you need with enough left over to not have quite enough to get something else you might kind'a fancy (like the banks making millions from all the lost accounts with small amounts in that people never bother closing).
I <expletive deleted> hate corporations!

Its just possible that FD will take OD in a entirely new direction and keep progressing with Horizons. There is a lot of locked permit systems still in Horizons and with Raxxla and a lot of story lines still on the table, could be we end up with 2 seperate games continuing on their merry ways. If that is the case it would be nice to see some movement on Horizons soon.

I think you're over estimating Frontier's level of effort! Odyssey will probably, as they're said be Frontier's biggest update yet, but that's not really saying a whole lot. Each of the last five major updates of No Man's Sky have dwarfed every one of the Elite Dangerous updates in scope.
