lol No your not correct. Did you not read where it said CAPITAL SHIP EXPANSION. Meaning you can't fly them NOW but we will be able to LATER.

You do know a capital ships are more then just battleships right? It's just like a naval fleet, you have destroyers, frigates, and carriers. So there will be more, and i believe it was said in a video that it will be an expansion later on.
I dont know why you read that one line an automatically think that ii was ruled out, because it's not. That was confirmed awhile ago back when i was still playing alpha. unless its changed an they dropped the capital ship an expansion then color me shocked
Currently the largest player controlled ship is the largest ship that can dock. May be with time the larger ships will be added. But it is not that much certain for now.

I just watched the video, and no, DBOBE didn't say capital ships will be player controllable. He mentioned that "To start with we've set the treshold to the biggest ship you can get is the biggest ship that can dock.", and "But that's not to say we can't go beyond that over time.", followed by "But it's just that there are lots of different things that kick in once you go into that size range."
Make of thet what you will, I wouldn't hold my breath.
(And people wonder why I say as much as I do on the comms matter - now people are confused and some will get angry over it - not that they should it's just internet spaceships and I doubt they could afford it anyway yet
If EvE has taught us nothing else, we should remember that internet spaceships are SRS BSNS!

The wiki is maintained by the community, not by FD. It often contains wrong information people mistake for official announcements. Until Newsletter #61 the picture of the Federal Corvette was shown as a concept art for the Fer de Lance.
Referring to information from the wiki is of no use if you want to back up your posts with official information.
When I see these posts I remember the sad reality that I will never fly these ships because I'm not a trader or bounty hunter willing to grind for hours on end to fly a new toy.
