So much passion over a few bucks, lol. Seems Elite isn't enough of a hobby for some folks. May I suggest wood-working. Very calming and rewarding for the time put in.

Buy or don't buy. What you get is clearly labeled. I don't see the problem.

People buying into the scheme are as bad as those selling the snake oil. It's still all FD's fault for taking advantage but the buyers also share some of the blame.

Couldn't agree more. I don't like the principle of a paid beta access, so I didn't pay for Horizons beta access, problem solved as far as I'm concerned.

And that pricing model is set to stay afaik when it (if it lol) gets to full release and no, some company's have scruples or they already know that doing things like this is eventually bad for their business and ceased to do it. People aren't that stupid they know when they're getting ripped off. It might take some time.

Indeed. The only real impact of any opinion here is whether or not one purchased the beta. W/o buying the beta, Frontier will just have to find SOME way to go on without their 10 bucks.

So, it comes back to basics...buy it, or don't, but no one should think they have some moral obligation to inform a company on how to handle their revenue stream. The only folks with skin in the game are the people at Frontier and their investors.

I didn't pay to be a tester. FDev has people on staff for that.

Nah, I paid to be a privileged elitist who gets to try stuff out before most everyone else. If I run into a bug, sure, I'll report it...but that is just what I'd do on the live build anyway.
