I don't have a horse in the race of Imperial vs Feds but you are pathetic children to be jumping about and yelling "OH HE MAD SALT SALT SALT" at any comment. Seems like the salt content of you pair is pretty high if you're so quick to the trigger on any comment. You stupidly assume I'm backing Fed because I wasn't kindly cradling Imperial players with my post, so it's quite fair to assume I'm talking to some under-medicated children when you throw a fit.

It seems the only person stamping their feet and acting like a child is yourself.

You brought up a CG that the empire lost, saying that if the imperials really cared about winning against the feds they would have had more support.

I'm just telling you why we didn't care about that CG.

Why would we focus on a system that holds no tactical advantage whatsoever when instead we could take control of the Federation's main shipyard?

It's a matter of strategical value. A concept that you do not seem to grasp.

Ha, it's all good. And I don't mind if we disagree on some matters. It would be a very boring world if everyone was in agreement on everything. It makes for interesting discussion. There's no need to devolve into slanderous comments.

And what some would call speaking from both sides of ones mouth, others would call being impartial.
I am aligned with the empire,
But this is a larger issue than muh Feds and muh Imps.
If I was a fed, or unaligned, or whatever I'd be happy that these issues are being brought up, regardless of the means.
It's the only way progress can be made to make the BGS more fair and more player driven.

Mate that's exactly how I feel about the forums at the moment and the reason why I've not posted much lately.
From my perspective ED has never had as much to do in it as it does right now yet I've never seen so much moaning about one thing or another destroying ED for ever.

I don't understand all the complaints regarding the game etc. In my opinion it's a brilliant game, massively ambitious in size and scope. But it is 'just' a game. I used to love playing MW & MW2 but I didn't like where the devs went with the series (got a little silly for my tastes) but I didn't complain about it, I just played something else and let everyone else who did enjoy it carry on.

This is in no way aimed a anyone nor is it meant with any attitude but I'd suggest to anyone that isn't happy with or enjoying Elite to maybe just not play it

I like your thread here, Fude, though I admit to not always agreeing with you, but who agrees with everyone all the time, right? I took special note to 'being stuck on XBOX.' While I cannot offer you a PC to play on, the East India Company, EXO, PBSF, Paladins, Atlas Corp and and other XBOX pilots have all gathered under the flag of GalCop and you'd be welcome to join us. Transcending the platform barrier to accomplish goals with our PC brethren is a daily occurrence for us. Hit me up sometime if you are curious.

And for the record, I love what's happening in Merope, though it wasn't exactly hidden from us. Wagar and Brookes have been dropping hints for weeks now to those who are paying attention!

The EIC is aligned with the Empire, though GalCop is another thing entirely. The EIC does not push Power Play, most pilots are unaligned. You are free to pursue Power Play, but if you do then you must choose an Imperial Power (I'm with Torval, she's m'lady). If you are interested, I would love to talk to you. The right to be upset? Absolutely. And you just drove the final nail in your own coffin, by claiming you have the right to be upset and do whatever you feel like you have just cemented everybodies right to do whatever THEY deem appropriate for anything that upsets them... Solo play, PGs, even combat loggers (curse them all) are completely absolved of any wrongdoing by your logic, and 4fast's as well.

''Griefing'' is not against the rules. Neither is solo nor PG. Combat logging is though.

Mode invasion is        but I believe somebody else said that apart from a mass exodus FDev wouldn't have cared one bit.

a few post back I state that I dont agree solo/PG should be able to do CG or affect BGS, but its apart of the game that FD has and even after months of complaints have keep so its must be a part they want, knowing going in to an area that people think is PvE and attacking them is greifing

game to game metaphor, if your playing paintball and are told about and area behind a wall where people wont be shooting at each other just at targets, maybe for practice maybe because thats how they like to play, and you chose to go behind that wall just to shoot them and show them that even behind the wall the paintball guns still work and they can still be shot, thats greifing

just because you can access people playing the same game as you doesn't mean you have the right to if their decided to play differently

Look, You people all have your blinders on. I'm not saying I'm totally objective (because I'm not) but in this situation I am more objective than you. I have no stake in this CG or the ensuing hostilities (because I'm already 9KLY towards jaques station), and I can say with total certainty that if this were an open only game you would still lose the argument because there are many times as many traders than PvP's, the use of PG/solo only speeds the process you are opposing, you could never stop it with your regular tactics and would have to resort to petty attacks and UA bombing no matter how hard to tried traditional blockades. When it is a lose/lose situation there is no way to win (by its very definition). You are only delaying what you have no power to stop. The only CGs I actively support these days are the introduction of new rare commodities and the construction of new exploration stations such as the one in Maya.

Going into Mobius to stop them wasn't their first choice was it, but Frontier took away all their other tools so well you ended up with what happaned.

Since it's a way that fd promised you could play the game? Not really, unlike intentionally griefing a private group that's anti pvp. That one is against FD's rules. Odd how that works, huh?
At the end of the day, you both can play your own ways, you're (not you personally) just mad that others don't want to play your way. It all comes down to numbers in this game anyways, it's theoretically impossible to blockade a community goal by killing people well enough to cause it to fail, instancing is a big issue there especially.

EVERYTHING the community calls griefing (atleast to my knowledge) has never been against any of Frontiers or Elite Dangerous rules. Or well I might be mixing some stories up but either attacking a streamer the way SDC (I believe) did at some point was made against the rules or it was called griefing, or both. Not sure if they ever made mode invasion against the rules or whatnot.

I doubt the majority are mad because people don't want to play our way. The majority is mad because Frontier interfered.

Its not just odd, its plain whacky.. DBs myopic views on gameplay cripple his greater vision and the potential of the game whilst simultaneously alienating a huge number of players.



I'd wager we could give it a good try. I'm tired of hearing this silliness, 'play your own way'. Surely that means, what you do in game rather than segregating oneself into a reverse apartheid system, removed from everyone else?. The amount of dreadful and lame sloganeering this game has is ridiculous; almost as if its suggesting its the answer to the meaning of life. Every game I play, I play it my way what I don't expect though is for that to mean the game revolves around one special group at everyone elses expense. For the love of god.. they are <1% of the playerbase. [wacko]

Segragation could work if Frontier didn't half       it as they did. We aren't truely segregated nor are we fully intergrated(?).

All those endless whinings about players in solo and PG ruining the pew pew crew's game would actually mean something if we indeed had a shared galaxy with the PC and Mac players....whos actions.. in whatever mode... are beyond influence.

Not to mention instancing.

A purely PvP approach, singular or group, to gameplay in ED be it the BGS manipulation or the permanently broken Powerplay, does nothing but stroke personal egos.
Without PvE, there is completely no game outside the narrow mindedness of a poorly implemented space combat sim...this isn't Eve online with cockpits... no grand player controlled factions, groups or whatever to make an impact on even minor instances in the vastness of the ED galaxy.

Stroking egos...I'm sure you're all legends in your own minds by now. Meanwhile, I'll get on with flying my spaceship and shooting rocks as far away from you as I can be

Didn't like the merge but what has that to do with it? PC players as well as Xbox players could participate. A PC group can somewhat put up a bloackade without Xbox players but the same cannot be said the other way around but that doesn't mean Xbox players didn't join the people to put the system into lockdown or blockade the system.
