Modes WARNING: A new type of trolling.... (MOVING TO MOBIUS)

One good thing that came from this thread is that I never even knew that their was a "Modes of Elite" subforum. Similar to all the other other subforums, though, is the fact that this is where conversations go to die. I mean, in Dangerous Discussion it was thriving. It gets shunted off to Limbo and quietly runs out of oxygen.

Yeah, same here.

Apparently this is what has spawned out of the rotting corpse of the Hotel California thread. As that thread is now dead and we have this forum instead.

I'd say it's time to reactivate the old flagship thread.

Wow, talk about twisting my statement, I didn't think I was being an apologist for a little piece of fecal matter ramming people with the intent of getting them killed because he needs to inflict his misery on others.

Oh, what, that isn't what you meant? Ah, yeah, right. You're spouting nonsense about the person being blameless because his victim was speeding. Right, you want to hold the OP accountable for his actions while holding your buddy, or was that you, guiltless.

In regard to punishment, you have to be in a position of authority to discipline, so, no, not punishment.

Whaaah, in NA, I've heard any citizen can give voice of prison when he/see testifies a crime being committed.

Oh and BTW, OP, bye bye [heart]

Can I haz your stuffs?

Yep going back to complaining about having to post in the Hotel California thread is the next logical step in operation whinge-eternal.

It did make for some interesting reading whilst having my morning coffee. Didn't realize how much I missed it until now.

I'd say it's time to reactivate the old flagship thread.

The only problem there is, there were some great suggestions in the SOG threads - but they got lost in the wave of Pro / Anti PvP insults & arguments.

I think that was the reason for this sub forum, to break that mammoth down into its individual points.
So the good ones can shine and the bad ones fade away.

I think that's the theory anyway.

Not sure if this is true or not, but it does make sense. Wait...whut? ;)

I did start to go back over those threads once to try and find and re-post some of the better ideas.
I was about to cry by page 50 of thread 1, reading some of the rubbish there was heart breaking (from both sides).

I hope some of the old folks come back and re-post their ideas, would be nice.

Yeah, from your post about SOG yesterday (which i had not heard of before), I decided to take a look at the threads.

When I saw the size of all the threads:

[mad] I've just had 66mill of credits stripped off me in less than two minutes...

At the CG event (Oracle Station) there is a player who is deliberately flying a ship with no shields and hiding out near the mailslot targeting larger ships. He / she is deliberately putting themselves in your way when you try and pass - causing you to clip their ship, become wanted and blown up by the station.

This happened once as I entered, and once as I left. AVOID!!! Totally put off this game now. After hours of gameplay I had 115mill credits in the bank and now I'm down to less than half of that in two minutes flat and thanks to some jerk.

I was really looking forward to a search and rescue CG too.

So apparently a dedicated PVE server is needed to stop this stupid behavior.

EDIT:

So it is possible that the target can be stationary INSIDE a station and still get a fine, then get blown up? Can we chill out about the speeding stuff now and address the gankers?

It's only new to you. Learn how to play the game. Good bye.

Still homicide.

In China it isn't and either way, I'm sure the train driver woudln't get blamed considering trains can't really brake like cars do...

Edit: What about the sidewinder? Didn't he also drove faster than the 100 m/s rule to die ASAP? Can't blame only one person.

The victim in this scenario is no doubt some poor noob who couldn't figure out how to reboot his systems and was in what he thought was the pause menu trying to figure his controls out when some cowboy steamrolled him hotshotting into the mailbox. A few minutes later, after being confused about how/why he was destroyed while the game was paused, he was trying to exit the station (again) and probably bounced off of the station bulkhead and knocked out his shields once again...so, being a noob, he hits pause and goes back into options trying to figure out what he's doing wrong when BLAMMO! here comes CMDR Hotrod to run him over again.

Seriously OP, I think you need to offer up some kind of apology for being so callous!

If a man throws himself to the path of a train, I'd blaim the man for the "accident".

No no, you have it all wrong. Read my previous post which I quoted just above for a much more likely account of what really happened.

I'm keen to know how you came to such conclusions and I also want to point out that the OP does not seem to be a noob considering his Inara description.

Re-read the OP: he states clearly that "some bad person" was deliberately hanging out around the mailslot with no shields. The OP sounds kind of flaky and judgmental to be honest, and I'm simply offering another take on the story. The OP demands that we take his statement at face value with no facts to back it up, so why is his story any more accurate than my own? Surely you've seen how these entitled Corvette/Cutter pilot's enter/exit stations just brushing everybody out of their way without a care?
