Was very much looking forward to the release, but found out a few things and not gonna buy it now...

For those of you still wondering what it does and if it actually has any effect on the game.

I have had Doom 2016 since release, it's the game I built my gaming computer for. Doom had Denuvo in it at one time. I had no issues at all with performance. If people are having performance issues it's not Denuvo causing. At the most you would see a very slight drop in frames. If you are having serious performance issues it's not the DRM software, it's something else.

Basically to explain in short what Denuvo is let me explain.

Denuvo, is an anti-tamper technology and digital rights management scheme developed by the Austrian company Denuvo Software Solutions GmbH, a company formed through the management buyout of Sony DADC DigitalWorks,

To sum it up the only reason Creat is un-happy is because he can't tamper and mod the JWE game files and codes, But to be honest why would you want to tamper with or mod the games files or codes it's a park simulation/management game it's not going to be complicated to finish the campaign, And if there's one thing I can't stand and disagree with is people who feel the need to cheat and exploit a game it's people like that who don't deserve the pleasure of playing these remarkable titles that the developers have spent so much time creating for us to enjoy.
To add and change Dinosaurs? I remember a few mod for JPOG where new Dinos were added; some people may wish to do the same for JWE, especially if their favourite Dino isn't included at launch - or ever.

Heck, maybe some people wish to go one step further and introduce modern-world animals to the game; a pack of Lions, an Elephant or two, maybe a herd of Zebra...

Planet Coaster has Denuvo and it has mods. The difference is Planet Coaster doesn't use the intellectual property of another company, JWE does however.

I had to look it up on wikipedia which games uses Denuvo and to my surprise I have quite a lot of games that uses it and I have never had the slightest problem with them.
Here's my list of games that uses Denuvo:

  • Planet Coaster
  • Far Cry Primal
  • Assassin's Creed Origins
  • Prey
  • Far Cry 5
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
  • Mass Effect: Andromeda
  • Doom
