I like it when people say something dumb, get proven wrong, then make a whole new topic the next day repeating the dumb statement. It shows dedication and perseverance.
I think the OP is missing the point.
Enough players may have said they want in game cosmetics... Frontier "IS" a business after all. ARX doesn't cost real money so I'm no really sure what the problem is?
Literally will moan about anything this player base.
ITS NOT COSTING YOU MONEY TO EARN IN GAME COSMETICS
Oof. Steady on.Well if you are that butt hurt why not go play Star citizen![]()
Xenoromance. Not a hard word to remember.
I see OP point.. Yes I remember discussions in the past about being able to earn cosmetic ingame rather than spending real money. It's also true that the community asked other features louder that have been ignored so far...I wonder who of you guys screamed "ARX" when it comes to the question "What feature would you like to see next"?
Honestly - one out of 100.000?
You should know better. Arx will be something like this...

... just to tease people to spend even more money for pink engine trails. This whole thing has nothing to do with the whole Elite game, and when I see the current extremely buggy state of this game, hence the still missing kickstarter features, I think Frontier has turned away from its old idea, and is trying to become a chinese customer milking machine. It´s definetely not the company I spent money in Kickstarter for.
Im pretty happy to get a way to purchase new cosmetics from the game client witbout getting booted to a website storefront.I wonder who of you guys screamed "ARX" when it comes to the question "What feature would you like to see next"?

Yea, it’s a standard industry practice now for games to have a currency other than money. It’s obvious this is a practice that is quite lucrative in getting people to purchase items with currency that is meaningless. Industry trends start due to a popular method for making money.
The general public is full of imbeciles. I don’t care how a company makes money as long as they’re honest and transparent. This fake currency trend is not honest and prays on the general public’s consumption without consequence nature.
Can you explain to me how else they can give you a currency in-game that I can spend in the store without them literally giving me real-world currency for just playing their game? Because no matter how I look at it, I see three options:
1) You dont get to earn anything in-game you can use in the store.
2) They pay us real money we can spend in-store, or anywhere else.
3) They give us a currency we can spend in the store, but not elsewhere.
The first option is lame, the second is . They decided to go with the third.

And quite happy that they can now be earned through gameplay.
Well here is number 4:
They could've tied paintjobs and specific bodykits to faction reputation, making that earnable and
having a reason to use the reputation system more. Totally currency free.
But then I can't chose what I want. I'd rather chose my own paint than have FD decide for me...
I think Kickstarter was mistake, it attracted way too many entitled whiners. You should know better. Arx will be something like this...
