We have been looking forward to Chinese for too long

FD doesn't need to do the Chinese translation completely on its own, it just needs to put the translation configurations public on comunicity translation sites such as Transifex for Chinese players to participate in contributing to, as the Chinese community now has accurate translations and understandings of many of these concepts. At least FD doesn't need to pay too much for translation issues, the hard part should be the in-game character set support.
True! Agreed

Totally agree

I think:
They don't have sufficient resources to allocate to make Chinese translation , including but not limited to fundings, manpower, time or anything else you know. But, maybe they will consider this proposal the day before the game over.
DO NOT BE A BEGGAR, AND THE REALITY IS GIVING THEM A LESSON.

Yeah we know that the problem with limited resources. But last year we've witness several big updates and more to come this year. So we believe FD has been putting more resources on ED, maybe we will have a chance right now.
Moreover, I don't know the specific procedure for making a localization. But I believe AI like ChatGPT and Deepseek have made translation work much easier compared to before. Besides we have many bilingual players here are willing to help.

It has a nickname in Chinese which is very apt description about FD. The new features you said are just reuse the game content that has existed and there are still numerous bugs remaining because of code.

I began to play the game's opportunity is also in 2017 with just a few months of community-produced Chinese patches, although it is the simplestmachine flip, very simple, but it does help the understanding of the gameGreat.Every time I recommend this game to others and try to pull friends in to play, my friends hear that it's all in English and just shake their heads. It's really one of the few space simulation gameson the market, not to mention unique!Really my favorite, but it is too hard to recommend to my friends.Localization can't be done, the number of players in a particular language can't go up, the number of local players can't go up, localization can't be put on the agenda, and it seems to have become a dead end.Even in the case of most games nowadays that have Chinese language options, an all-English game would be even more irresistible to Chinese gamers.Even a simple machine translation of the game's interface and repetitive quest text would be positive for the game, I think selectively translating text that is helpful for basic gameplay is a time-saving solution.

I wouldn't say that Chinese is important to existing players, since we already know the game playing for years.

However, proper localization is invaluable for attracting new players. It is not merely a convenience for current players, but a deciding factor for a majority of Chinese players to join the game. StarCitizen profits from maintaining a connection with the Chinese community so could EliteDangerous.

In case a complete official localization is too much to demand, a partial patch focusing on fundamental UI elements and controls is enough to get people into the game.

Sincerely hope for an official reply.

China’s got a MASSIVE sci-fi community (think The Wandering Earth level of hype), but the language barrier is a huge turn-off. I’ve lost count of how many friends said “THIS GAME LOOKS AMAZING”... then noped out because they couldn’t read the menus.Adding Chinese support isn’t just “nice to have”—it’s a win-win!

Recently, I've been really hooked on the game – spending all day running transports and trades. I'm already ready to buy skins, so hurry up and release the Chinese version!

A while back one of my Steam buddies had a conversation with me as described above. He thought the language barrier was stopping him from coming to try the game.
I am still using translation software to translate this and apologise for any misunderstanding.

The FD staff might not even see this post, but I noticed the moderator has made several repeated replies. I’m not sure if the moderators here are official FD employees or if they can help forward players' requests to someone who can actually make decisions. I would really appreciate it if they could!
