Hover SRV for low g worlds
Tank SRV base raids
Repair SRV instead of guns have it have a weld beam or something, that can be good for explorers
Cargo SRV, have it even require a double SRV slot, that can hold maybe up to 20 cargo or so.
Add more ideas, let's get creative and then maybe post it on the suggestions forum. I think 3 years with only 1 SRV type is long enough of a wait.
EDIT: I see alot of counter arguments touching, mainly, "how will the bigger srvs leave the ship if the dedicated SRV deployment bay is so small"
Well, it shouldn't take much imagination to figure this out The anaconda has a huge SLF bay, who's to say it can't be doubled as a bug vehicle launch bay have it drop the cargo bay as a mobile workshop on the ground and then depart, leaving the hangar on the ground for your SRV to come back to resupply or drop of cargo
Or, have it assemble in parts, which would take say 10 15 sec with all the magnificent sound design in the backround while it happens.
