What am I doing wrong/not doing?!?

Hi, all, I hope all of you are doing well?

I seem to have bumped into somewhat of a problem today:

I'm currently in the Inner Scutum-Centaurus Arm, farting about around Colonia, and a couple of days ago, I came up with the "great" idea of trying to "complete"/"fill" the Codex, by going to the reported sites of all the stuff that my Codex lists as 'Reported', in order to get them listed as 'Confirmed'. For the most part, this has gone quite well (aside from the INSANELY annoying fact that the Codex only lists a specific system for silicate ice fumaroles, NOT the body, and definitely NOT which one of the TWENTY-SEVEN geospots I have to go to in order to find them. I started at #1, and found them at #20. wheee.), but now I'm looking for the Lattice Mineral Spheres that my Codex clearly lists as 'Reported' in Eol Prou IW-W e1-291.

I'm IN that system now(parked for the night, it's 1:30AM here), and I can find a total of 0 Lattice Mineral Spheres. There is one planet that is landable and has geospots, but they weren't there. There are no listings in my panels for 'Notable Stellar Phenomena' in the system, and the only thing I've found other than the bodies in the system, are Degraded and Encoded Emissions, proving to be shipwrecks with only Manufactured Materials to salvage.

I had the exact same problem with the Lindigoticum Umbrella Molluscs that are supposed to be in Eol Prou PX-T d3-1645, but I went there, looked everywhere I could think of(around the main Neutron Star, around the 3 non-landable bodies in the system, and all of the mining hotspots on the planet rings), and found nothing.

So my question to all of you, is what am I missing??? Is there something specific I need to do for these things to pop up, or is there some kind of bug?
Hope someone can help me with this, as I'm going insane from not finding what's supposed to be right there.

Oh oh oh, an extra question: I need to land on The Mighty to scan some Prasinum Bioluminescent Anemones. Is it doable in an Anaconda, or should I get my Asp X sent from the bubble to do it? I've landed there once before using the Asp, and barely survived, but that was 2-ish years ago, before the Codex existed.

Thanks in advance for any help with these issues :)

If you are in Open or in a Player Group, try switching to Solo. I'm told some of the newer features seem to not crop up always in Open.

:D S

I never play anything other than Solo. I've got ~3100 hours in-game, and the 3 minutes I've been in Open, was because I chose wrong on a login once :p

Ah OK. I had similar issues around Colonia, that the LaGrange Clouds and such didn't always show up. I always play in Open and just shrugged it off, until I saw someones post suggesting changing game state. Haven't tried it myself yet, but will try so next time I get to a CODEX entry that's not showing up. Am out in the Norma Arm at the moment, hunting critters.

Any ship can land anywhere, provided you have the proper technique for approach, landing and takeoff... I've got three pages of a tried tested and true method in my guide to planetary landings...

They showed up today, when I logged on :D

So it's a bug then, that makes the only show sometimes? Or do we praise RNGeesus for this one? :p

New (followup) question:
Does the same go for which stellar phenomena that pops up?
I'm in EOL PROU PX-T D3-1363 atm, and the Codex reports that there's supposed to be a Proto-Lagrange cloud here, but the only two NSP's here are Croceum and Viride...

Landing on The Mighty with an Anaconda should be fine. Remember, if you scratch it, you've bought it! :sneaky:
If you've landed on high gravity planets before with your Conda it should be roughly the same on the Mighty. Just remember to listen to the engine as you'll hear when it starts struggling if you leaning too much for the magic vertical thrust to keep you stable.

Actually, on my way to The Mighty, I found the anemones I was on my way to scan, so I didn't have to land there after all :D
I've landed on a few high-G bodies throughout the years, but I try my best to avoid doing so, if I don't HAVE to. I'm always afraid to screw up in one way or another when I land on high-G's, killing my ship while doing so :p

I've started to find NSPs in a nebulae they have not been described from, and I'm in Open almost constantly. So maybe things are somewhat working after all. Sometimes.
