Haha, Horton. You been to Canada yet? Horton is to Canadians as Starbucks is to Americans, in Canada everybody says, "Let's go to Hortons". I was a pipeline brat back in the 70's, went to Dimond Mears high school in Anchorage. We drove up there when the Alcan was all dirt except 25 miles either side of Whitehorse.

Yes let's all keep in touch on this. I'm going to kick off with my own survey of data link downloads etc. in HIP 22460, mostly for the challenge of staying alive while doing it.
How do we know there are starship and thruster blueprints to find?

So, are you saying that you think 22460 is worth stealth exploring since that event took place? I mean, I could easily fly my Phantom out there and look around if that's what you think is going on.

There are 13 data links to scan in the system including 4 on the Bright Sentinal.
I've jumped my carrier to a neighbouring system and I'll go in with my Chieftain next week that has 4000+ armour strength and two module reinforcement packages. Also a shutdown field neutraliser.
My exploration Phantom melted in the cross fire when I went to spectate the fighting a couple of weeks ago.
I doubt I'll find anything others have not already found. I just want to do it myself. I might do some search and rescue of escape pods.

Dang, I'd like to see a breakdown of you're Chieftain in Coriolis, sounds like a tank.

I did some work in system on Patch Day.

Yes you can scoop the mats. And as @CMDRQuainMarln said there are data ports at a few of the destroyed ships.

Operating in 22460 requires a fast ship w/reasonable shields. The Goids are relenetless. You get about 60 seconds of peace once you drop from SC, anywhere in the system.

Scaning the data ports requires deploying hardpoints first...

2 out of the 4 hull reinforcements are only grade 4 heavy duty, so could be pushed a bit more. I managed to sneak a half hour of play time in today to reconfigure this Chieftain specifically for scouting around in the HIP system. It's adapted from my ship for trying and so far failing to destroy Thargoid Interceptors due to my lack of ability.

Oh, and the 5D FSD is because the carrier is meant to carry it into the target system. I'll have to put a stock 5A I have in storage in it to make the jump into HIP.

I like it a lot, I just might copy many of the weapons and armour but I might go with a Krait Mk II only because I'm used to it. I really need to come up with an AX ship so I need to start kicking around ideas.

I'm not sure AX combat is a thing in 22460 though...more like just getting beat up...now if you had a whole squadron, that might be effective...

If you wanted a hybrid search and rescue, scouting/research ship capable of taking on Thargoid Scouts with the maximum number of large AX multicannons you can get on a ship, Krait MKII is the best I think. Maybe Crusader.
If you're looking for repair and rearm near HIP 22460 there is always https://inara.cz/elite/cmdr-fleetcarrier/351769/396178/ which will be there all this week and early part of next week. If I get a chance, I'll set up a buy order for escape pods and blackboxes.
