Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

I had a quick tour of my Carrier, I'd do with more sympathetic crew members, but it looks good. I'm exploring the ways to have access to the different docks and terminals so as to command it from inside and not from a ship.
We need interaction between player and bots, would be nice to chat the waitress!

She has nice eyes, shame about the tramp stamp. I really cannot understand why people deface themselves with tattoos. Don't they want to get into heaven (Leviticus 19:28)?

You can talk to the bartender, but he/she will only try to sell you materials (or buy them from you). You cannot get a drink. You can sit in a seat at the bar, but then you are too far away to talk to the bartender. None of the other crew will talk to you, or even notice you. You can dance in the hallways and they will completely ignore you. You are the invisible Commander, not to be interacted with.

You can go to the bridge and sit in the command chair, and watch the carrier jump from there. But none of the crew will notice you there either.

You can go into your private ready-room, and look out the window. But none of the crew will join you.

So um, enjoy? :p

Not sure the ones visible count as a tramp stamp, I thought that only applied to ones on the small of the back.
My disappointment with tattoos is with how dull most of them look and how badly they age.

My disappointment with the picture is with how empty the glasses are, not only not full to the top but not even full to the measure line, however I cheer myself up with the thought that it is only beer.

Man, you would have freaked out at the view of one of the Pict tribe members, they were covered with tattos and fought naked, even the Romans legions feared them...

It's not a tramp culture, it's tribal, but you're right she's got nice eyes...

Btw I went to a beer festival in Shuttorf (Germany) and thaught I was a good drinker, those girls favorite sport is to gulp one of those 1L glass in one go, I tried a couple of times, they had to carry me out of the tent...

I'm not sure if I should rejoice or be disapointed, but it's Elite Dangerous and I don't expect too much of a development so early at this level, I still have to learn my way around my Carrier and make the best of it, Not really into the footy thing, being a long time flyer with early Jane's sims and Free Space, I'm sure I'll figure some good stuff.

I was just using the derogatory as a catch-all, exhibiting my general distaste of the tattoo craze. (I'm just an old fogey. ;) )

For those who are into it...
The Metal Asylum Show

There is a thread for music videos in the Off Topic section:

... I try to post the occasional thing in there in an attempt to cure some of the deranged metal-heads by offering real music. ;)

So Am I Just celebrated my 64th last month, only I come from the punk culture, crossed over to metal and a bit of a guitar player myself, I mixed metal and tribal drumming and percs, like more than a few bands, especially North Germanic and Scandinavian, it's very rich culturaly speaking but people don't know. The Picts were living in the north of Scotland...

I understand that people might not like tattoos, they often are errrrr... whatever, but to me it remains something that says "I'm free" and is linked to my own culture as well, we had that in Europe for thousand of years, if you study European tribal cultures I'm sure you'll love it, it's so rich and deep in real-life meanings it's incomparable.

Here is the embleme of the city where my French family came from, Sedan typical celtic symbolism (Sedan fron SEDON, the forteress in old Celtic Gaul). Boar and Oak.

Bummer I like to do that at port instead of stand there like a sober zombie. Instead, sit in the chair like a plastered zombie, like the rest of the barhoppers.

I think a short bit in the vista genomics lounge if we may.. I'll get to the bottom of this.. I have a way with Terran women.. especially... I like that line about her eyes. Not the first pair of body parts that I was going to compliment. But, great line, know your audience, right. The eyes have it
