Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Found one in a metallic ring over the weekend that filled the 256t hold quite nicely - if only there was an equivalent for Tritium… ;]
Don't get me started! :D

Well, I just blasted some enemies in a CZ to slate my thirst for combat and now I have my route plotted for my Formidine journey.Jump one is counting down... I may be quiet for a while! :D

The trip will give you twenty minute opportunities to come up with individual HUDs for your ships to reflect (not literally) their rolls and character.
I am using the EDHM-UI by BlueMystical which lets you set up a hUD for each ship in your hanger. It is a front end for EDHM and can add plugins.
Interesting. I'm using EDHM to mod my HUD but it's a global change. Need to investigate and dig further to get to individual ships. Doing 36 will be fun...

I haven’t done all of my 32 yet but I started out with the idea of a base themes for combat builds, exploration builds and hauling builds then my lack of discipline took over and things became more individual.

UI lets you save HUDs and has a shipyard option where you can select a ship and link it to one of those HUDs then if the software is running when you change ships the HUD will change with it.

It also lets you change the on foot HUD.

Check Main Menu -> Shipyard. There's a list of all your ships and you can apply theme to each of them individually.
Still trying to find out if your own custom themes show up there, too...
Your saved themes show up in the main theme list but without a picture in Odyssey and under the name you saved them as in the drop down list of themes in the shipyard.

OK, I'm missing something.

I use the dropdown from the home menu to select "shipyard". I select a ship, then select a theme, then "save changes". Nothing happens. I've tried F11 in-game but that doesn't work either.

Ah... now it works... why didn't that happen last time?

EDIT: I'm going to stop fiddling. Changing one ship blew out the colours across the board so I had to redo them. I think I'll just leave it all as it was :D I'm happy with that...

This is what happens when one gives up on that last bacterium... :D

...about 1/8th of a pixel left to go, but the ship's cat wants dinner now ;p

*OK both fixed up now... :]

Not sure that I want my carrier crew to acknowledge me as a colleague or whatever.

Not since they parked my carrier between this large gas giant and the two rings that circle it.

The trip from the inner ring back to my carrier which had orbited to the opposite side of the planet felt long enough to have got me a good chunk of the way to Hutton Orbital. When I logged back in for a second session to finish the trip I ordered them to park around the A moon hopefully things will be quicker with it outside the rings.

I feel you. If my carrier ends up in a place like that, I tend to fly away until I get LoS back and pointing to the giant. If possible. Not always so. So, yes, in a case like that, I'd certainly reposition.

But then I would also blame carrier ATC for being completely stupid and, if they knew who their capitano was, it would cettainly make the insults sweeter and more personalised.

When parking a fleet carrier near a gas giant, always use one of its moons as your parking spot. It should be on the list of rules somewhere that starts with, never fly without rebuy, always read the mission fine print, and if an offer at Hutton Orbital sounds too good to be true it's likely a prank 😁

I'm abandoning this sector. The stars are mostly over my ship jump limit (without boost) and I don't really feel like carrier jumping everywhere. So I'm heading off to Kepler's Crest and if this proves equally fruitless, it's back home to lick my wounds and try going inwards into the galaxy. Temple may be an option or Vulcan Gate. Sheesh, what a waste of tritium!

I thought you were going to the Formadine Rift? I have a couple of accounts out there on a squadron FC and I can't remember when I last saw a tagged system. The are a lot more stars there than the galmap gives the impression of.
