We all have those days where our eyes refuse to stay put...I think he flushed them out an airlock, I've mentioned before, he's got shifty eyes.
I just tried to give an "official" explanation to what happened there...
And are we to assume that the "official" explanation is not the truth...
People complaining about this game being a broken mess definitely run either any other OS than Windows or never touched any settings of it.

Trying to get the last 1% to Elite in combat by killing a Thargoid Inteceptoror Orthrus. Must have nailed 6 of them and still no 1% 
Don't you just love autodock when trying to dock at Bill Turner's place on pad 8. Pad 8 is the one directly underneath this gangway that doesn't exist as far as autodock is concerned.
