Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

That guy is a very good guitar player, I've heard of him. Have you ever heard of the band Focus? They are from the Netherlands, here they are doing a song called Hocus Pocus, I remember them from when I was a teenager, they work the crap out of the drummer and I'm pretty sure they're on a controlled substance, from 1973.

Yeah, I know that song. It's brilliant. Stumbled across it in a similar fashion like I did with the space crickets...

Controlled substances...
That reminds me of a song from a live album of the Grateful Dead I once listened to while playing cards with my cousin - he's got an impressive collection of vinyl records. Said song would go on for about half an hour and had a weird effect on us. Without noticing, we changed the rules of the game in a very creative manner. It would be only after the song had ended that we noticed something was off in the way we played the game - we had been in some sort of trance.

Good grief, that's some song! :ROFLMAO:

You can guess what kind of substances were involved here by the "speed" they play the song at live.... it's almost twice as fast as the studio recording. The organ-yodel-dude tours with that song to this day.

I am just arriving back at the bubble.

I can tell I have been too long in the black by how startled I was to see other ships on the scanner when I launched from my carrier, and that was a little single outpost system.

Tomorrow my carrier and I will be in towards the middle of the bubble and I will have to decide what I am going to fly instead of my Hauler, how high/low to set the buy price for Tritium and whether to go sightseeing to a Spire first or get some shooting practice in.

Oh yes check how many modules I have and consider getting some for visiting a Titan.

It looks as though my black screen issue miraculously went away on its own and I've no idea how, not complaining though. I've been doing contract killings for Colonia and they're pretty fun and challenging, The NPC's have engineered ships. My latest one has got me stumped, he's got an FDL with prismatic shields and by the time I get them down I've burned through 5 cell banks and my hull is below 50%. I can't get his hull below mine fast enough and need to run. That's my only advantage over him is speed. I must adapt.

I blame aliens. As a good thing this time :D

Yeahhh. I remember this. I was in college. I was fortunate enough to live through the times when 4-person (or 3-person) bands were a big thing. There was an immediacy to the performances and a rawness you don't see much of today. I'm not saying it was superior to today's music, but it was powerful and certainly memorable.

Meanwhile, I'm still just out in the black goofing off.

Nice pic. Did you notice there was an SRV hiding in the shrubbery?

I have this track I think of an air guitar compilation album. It is absolutely brilliant. If you listen to it while driving you will soon be doing 200mph regardless of what car you drive 😆
