Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

It's probably the first thing I ditch. There isn't enough danger in your everyday travels as it is. Plus it's valuable space wasted.
It depends on the role of the ship for me.
My racers don't have any assists beside the planetary landing suite, for the BBRC doesn't allow such heresy.
But the Stargazer, my material collector, and the Spectre, my delivery van until the T8 will be available, both have SCA and (A)DC.
Most others don't, as I could use that space for a limpet controller or something like that.

anyone wanna buy a docking computer ive a spare one if so.
Hmmm..

Supercruise assist. That's the other ditched module I was trying to think of but it's been so long since I ever used them. Mostly because it gave me more to do in the game rather than feeling like a spectator.

I can see how they could be more handy when you're trucking though, if you're just in the mindset of safely getting from A to B for trade.

I have the Advanced Docking Computer on several ships all have Autoland switched off, some are there because I didn’t need a size one slot for anything others because I fancied some help with that ship.
On the other hand I have just one Supercruise Assist module which is there in theory for me to learn how to use it, in practice I think it is still there just to offend some purists by its presence on that particular ship.

I'm not that much of a trader, that's too complicated for my usually sleep deprived brain.
What I often do is these transpoert missions: "Haul these fridges over to Mincemeat Station in the Ground Beef system." And when the hold is full, I'll add some courier missions on top.
Now with the SCO-FSDs, I use it mostly for the last 2,000 ls (or whatever is left on longer distances) to relax and scan some ships in front of me (for materials).

I've been selecting specific star types in the Pilot's Federation map to try and find higher value worlds to explore on the way to my destination. Except this isn't really taken into account when plotting the route so you could hit 50 dead systems along a 51 system journey. Does anyone know of a way around this without plotting one system at a time?

E: Whoops. It seems I had to apply the filter and then re-plot the route. Nice! Maybe I can actually make enough money to transfer a single ship to Colonia.
