What am I up to? Have finally scraped together the credits to A rate my Clipper, a ship I love, just saving for some (even) better beams and it's a finished armed trader. Then I'll head off on a longish trip, trading my way along as I go, to start looking into engineering. I think that the Clipper might be my ultimate ship, so once A rated it's going to be my engineering test mule (have literally done nothing about engineering, yet, wanted to find a ship which spoke to me, first).

I've decided I need a Clipper in my shipyard. Don't know why, just want one.
I had one once (when they were available without the rank grind many moons ago). Sold it because I wanted an FDL.
Seeing as the ranking isn't so bad now, I dusted off the Courier, headed to Imperial space and currently ranking from Master to Baron. Got to squire in no time at all.
Couple more sessions and should have the requirements. Few mission runs after that and should be able to A rate it.

I'm just interested so it gives me ideas for future ventures.

I'm currently supporting my faction through fighting in Combat Zones, cashing in bounty claims, dropping off cartographic data and running missions. As I do those things, I'm stocking up on any materials I find so that I can make some finishing touches to my small fleet, and maybe begin engineering an alternate set of weapons.

As I go about my business, I'm hailing other Commanders I see in our space. Many come for the tourist beacons - I wish them a pleasant visit. Some may harbour ill intentions - I will deal with them accordingly!

Soon we might receive orders to attack another faction - or we might venture out into the black on an exploratory expedition - whatever we do, we'll make sure it's fun :)

I just got enough Federation rank to unlock Sol. So I relocated my home base to Abraham Lincoln. I've been running a bunch of delivery missions. I was able to get Adle's Armada fully allied at Evarate. Now I am working on allying the factions at Sol. I've been making pretty good progress with my Viper MkIV, Rising Sun. I successfully pulled off an assassination mission for the Federation Navy too, so it even works pretty good for combat when needed. Now I am saving up for an Asp Explorer that I can max out everything to A rating so I can head into the black and do some exploring.
I'm also going to continue building my federation rank so I can unlock the Corvette. That ship just looks so cool.

I just spent the afternoon at Cmdr Jameson's crashed cobra. Well worth the (short) trip and - like most of these handcrafted additions to the game, very atmospheric. Made more so by the fact that it was in darkness when I arrived, which also added to the challenge of finding the critter.

After that I spent an hour or so dune buggying around the surface (very rugged!) and loading up on raw mats - mostly common stuff, but found a couple of lots of germanium. An excellent excursion and recommended if you're not sure what to do with a spare couple of hours.

I lived! I bought a viper and got her some stuff (no engineering) - called her Melenkurion Abatha to ward off evil. I was pretty much all over the place but I followed the Sweeney around until they started performing the ultraviolence on a scumbag wanted Mr. Big and I joined in.

Made 103k.

I'm still in shock I wasn't presented by the rebuy screen.
