Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Is it the device connected/disconnected bing bong?

Are you using a sound card or on-board-mobo sound?

Have you tried a different sound profile?

You could try a Windows refresh - although I'd personally dread doing that.

I'm wondering if you have a dodgy USB socket.

Is there a way you can record the sound and post it up somewhere so we can hear it?

Trouble is with these things is the irritation could be almost anywhere... wishing you luck!
What's turned out to be most frustrating for me is the fact that I can't easily find a log of what's happening.
Last time I had any in depth knowledge of OS etc was Win95b. Packed in all the PC stuff in 98 when I realised I was spending more time fettling the PC than actually using it. :ROFLMAO:

'Information on Petra Olmanova'.
Lol, yeh right. Not dragging my sorry Asp to Colonia in this crate.

Anyway, Tanya's been naughty so I've sent her to Robigo to lay low for a while.
'Look, it's not my fault, the wedding cruisers are just so annoying!'.
yeh, forge your own path. Now get loading that biowaste Tanya.

I've arrived in Ngurii to get some artefacts to unlock an Engineer [Elivra, Khun].
Not sure why my nav plot took me through so many uninhabitated systems, but I think FD want me to run out of fuel.
I think I passed Sol on the way, which would have been nice to drop in and say hello. Maybe it's that tier 4 thing.
Tried looking on EDDB for a place to buy a Krait, or a decent fighting ship with cargo space, but EDDB doesn't seem kitted out for that kind of thing.
Any suggestions?

Took me a while to get used to EDDB, and now all I do is marvel at it.

To find the ship of your dreams, go to Stations (https://eddb.io/station), type in Krait Mk II (or Vulture... or Chieftain.. or... or...), enter your reference system and boom. Nearest I found to Nguri for a Krait Mk II is Vancouver Co-Operative in Caerape.

EDDB.
You need to be on the Stations screen/tab.
Let's you put in ship type, then scroll down and enter your current system.

Wow! you Cmdrs are great, thanks.
I'm currently in a DBX, is a Krait MkII a good option for a combat ship [with cargo space] or should I get something elae?
Also, is there any way to limit your jumps, when plotting a journey?
It seems to do either the range of my ship or does a dogs leg round the houses.
Why can't I do a 20LY jump? It's either 35LY [or near enough] or 1LY.

Krait is an excellent all rounder. Medium pad, trade, combat, AX. Good at all.

Do you have only certain star types selected and/or your route planner set to economical?

The Krait MkII is a great combat hauler to ensure that you can get it fitted out reasonably you should aim to have at least 150,000,000 credits available at time of purchase and when setting up that EDDB search add Li Yong-Rui to the Powers field to find the nearest 15% discounted ship and modules.
In the Galaxy map in map view you can set filters so that the route plotter will try to use or avoid certain star types or visited systems, you can also set whether it will will plot economical jumps or fastest, maximum range jumps. Jump range is of course dependent on variables like the mass of the ship plus mass of cargo plus mass of fuel as well as size, grade and engineering state of the FSD.

Not sure I have been anywhere with systems close enough together to get a 1Ly jump.
