Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

AFMU repairs modules only, not hull and is fuelled by materials from your inventory if you need to resupply it. Keep the collector limpets if you really want to but there is honestly nothing out there to use them on, and if there is you could just scoop it. Don’t pick up anything thargoid related, it will cause corrosive damage unless you have a corrosion resistant cargo hanger. But even that’s unlikely.

edit, silliy thing to mention, don’t forget your Artemis suit :)

I've been flying my Imperial Courier for weeks now, because it's so well suited to planetary and on-foot stuffs.

But today I decided to grab the Mamba, which I haven't yet flown since Odyssey launched.

I haven't gone down to a planet with it yet, but this is the first time I've seen it from an on-foot perspective. It's rather impressive!

looking at raising the Fed flag rating up, with buying the fed corvette, yes I know there are a few people out there that don't like it maneuver controls are slow. but has a few videos that have said it looks like a starship battle cruiser. :D coming up to half a billion creds now should be a safe bet to splurge out a bit. because I know it going to cost a bomb to fit it out.

won't be buying in a few weeks, future buy.

I, personally, enjoy the 'Vette. Victory by superior firepower :D

Plus shields and armour up the ying-yang. Makes me feel quite safe in a fight until I pick on something more than I can chew such as a wing mission assassination. I would say that even with my humble fighting skills, I'd win 99% of one-on-ones against NPC's.

I can't vouch for PvP.

I can vouch for the "ouch" if you get blown up.

I can also vouch for lots of material requirements for engineering.

Ah yes... my favorite cargo ship. At least for all missions that take me to suitable pads. Since, with engineering and those 8 utility slots, you don't need the large compartments to become basically invincible to NPCs. That's 450 tons of cargo space, and maniacal laughter every time I get that "incoming enemy ships" announcement.

The problems with the Corvette are, a slightly disappointing jump range and a low top speed in normal space.
It actually manoeuvres acceptably in super cruise and very well in normal space, it isn’t as quick in the turns as a Vulture of course but it is much better than I expected.

It's because of the shields, I bet. It has 1816 MJ in it's current config (I had to drop a booster to put in the SRV). Makes everything look different. Yellowish I guess. Or it's early. I need coffee.
That reminds me. So long after the Odyssey launch and we STILL can't throw a rock at our ship to check the shields - a Y3k equivalent of kicking a tire. Shameful. I hope it gets added soon.
