I wouldn’t know for several reasons the main ones being I won’t do powerplay just to get the toys and am not interested in any other aspect of it and not being one of the best pilots I can almost count my successful intended rams on the fingers of one foot.
I might do some more guns.

Received my quarterly rejection letter for the content creator “Partner Program” this morning - don’t worry, nothing personal, all automated response as far as i can see - another thing that initially seemed quite promising, in terms of supporting photographers/filmmakers and other creators working with Elite…
However, since they later revised the minimum requirements to exclude anyone starting out, i’m again wondering what the point actually is - i mean, 3500 views per YouTube video is a fairly high threshold - so it seems they are only offering a bit of support (it really seems limited to a “well done, old chap” and mebbe a free T-shirt) to creators who have already had a fair amount of success with Elite?

The long gun, for instance. Neither of the ones I have have the reload speed mod and I REALLY want revenge on those sharpshooter scum. They get shots off very quickly.

That makes sense, just like an old school driven game shoot.They have an assistant at their side providing them with a batch of freshly loaded weapons...
Maybe a rocket launcher with speed loading, scope, stability and some sort of sound suppression would work on them and their team of loaders and spotters.
If it also comes with an exhaust flame + plume suppresion to conceal your location a little more, that would be nice...

Further inspection revealed that I had to uninstall the game from the insufficient drive first, as steam was unable to write the new install to the new drive while the "Elite" folder was on the old drive. Moving it over was impossible due to the pending update...
Now steam tries to reserve space on the new drive - a process I haven't seen yet... Which takes it's sweet time, creating folders and stuff... Someday, the download will finally begin.
I'm curious, what type of internet do you have? Does you're laptop have a Bluetooth connection? Can you use a cell phone to make the download?

I could activate Bluetooth, but I don't have an LTE-capable cell phone, yet. And I am not sure if I could afford a cell phone contract that allows for this amount of data transfer...
Well, that sucks, I can certainly empathize with you. I haven't been in that predicament sense I was in my 20's. I hope you can get a better PC in the future and join us in Odessey land.
Edit: Most cellular plans here in the states come with 30-40GB data usage per month which I rarely use myself, maybe barrow a friends if they never use the data? Just trying to be helpful not nosey.

I think even LTE wouldn't help much, as steam doesn't really use the available bandwidth to the fullest.
It looks like the data gets downloaded and intantly instaled - spikes of download speed are followed by spikes of drive bandwidth...
Blue columns represent download, the line represents the drive activity. Highest point of the columns is about 10 Gbit/s.
I think it will at least take a day or even two at this rate...
EDIT*: Steam shutting down during the download doesn't shorten the time it takes to get this done, either...

Here's an odd one. My main alt no longer has access to Wellington Beck. The game and Inara show him as undiscovered, and a visit to Hero Ferrari shows she's never given her any SDPs. Yet, the first mod on her Dominator suit is Improved Battery Capacity. She's never been to Colonia, and definitely never unlocked Oden Geiger (I'm rubbish at those covert missions), so clearly she had access to Beck.
My other accounts that I've checked so far do still have full access to Beck. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience before I get in touch with the Support people.
