Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Check the distance to the destination. If it is under ~4,000ls, divide by 6 to find the fastest speed that won't cause you to overshoot. Disengage SCO when you hit that speed and you will never overshoot. Given the acceleration curves, there is always a chance you will undershoot (this approach basically guarantees it), but you can always switch between 100% and 75% on the throttle to compensate. It's not (usually) a bad thing if you overshoot your speed target, provided your throttle is at 0%.

recommended build here itll take the low level biological scouting knocks and scrapes with the landing gear down you should stay just the right speed for bioes to be mk1 eyeball visible its a fast long range rece scout forget the srv cargo and weapons imo
if using the neutron highway for super long range you may wanna fit a small afmu you'll get 7000ly before needing it

personally i dropped the supercruise assist the docking computer and the 8 tonne cargo rack from this build

Thanks. I'm not sure I'd want it stripped down that much since I'd still like to use it as multi-role.

And I don't like to leave slots empty. Maybe my OCD.

I do get rid of the supercruise and docking assist though. Like you say, it's nice to just fly in and out of the mail slot like a crazy person when you can.

I'll take a look at it

Or is it the bad with the good?

With how fast the SuperCruise Overcharge is I feel very little shame or embarrassment about overshoots when using it, some of course as I am usually intending to get it spot on. Of course if I think someone is out to interdict me the overshoot can be intentional.
I've rammed a planet in SCO but it doesn't do any more damage to the ship than standard super cruise.

The first time * I did it, I was expecting a visit to the rebuy screen.

* Yes, I've done it more than once :D

I rammed a planet while failing an interdiction once years ago, I didn’t quite visit the rebuy screen but it was quite tricky making my way through the mesh to get back above the surface of the planet.
