Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Yeh, keep us updated on the PC Tyres.

I'm currently planning a PC build. Unfortunately this (and Ace Combat) has knocked back my motivation for ED at the moment. I don't feel like putting time in on the PS4 when I'm going to start from scratch on the PC:D

Pick either the Corvette or the Cutter as your designated end game ship and then play without doing more than a couple of missions a year, the time it will take to get to that rant will be much greater. If you must do missions select the reward that provides least reputation.

I'm not that masochist... Sometimes... ... oh what the heck.

You're going to keep your PS4 Elite account/assets?

As a matter of interest (and to feed my nerdic appetite), what build are you looking at?

ETA The warranty on my PC looks like it's still valid - I paid for an extended one and thank Pleiades I did. With a little luck, they'll fix it for me but it may be a while.

i5 8400, GTX 1060, 16GB, z390 board, 750w+ PSU.

The cpu and gpu is temporary. Looking at £200ish M/Board.

NB: this is just for ED.
(No flashing lights-its a PC, not Blackpool illuminations!:D)

Greetings from the Orion-Cygnus Arm!

Now that's something I don't get to say every day. :p

I'm still out here, getting close to the next nebula I want to visit. After that, I may actually head back. I'm wanting to do some other stuff.

Here's a couple screenies from a cool looking planet I discovered. Just a hunk of rock, really, but with some striking rings and a bit of volcanism.

Excellent, more wallpaper for my phone!:D[up]

I wonder how Tyres is doing on his forced shore leave.

:)

I am waiting on an engineer (I kid you not). I was in luck as the warranty is, thankfully, still valid. They'll either replace like for like or, if doable, use a Corsair RM850x. The part gets sent, engineer comes to me and fixes.

If that doesn't work and more components are fried, it's back to base and shore leave is extended :(

I'll know more in a few days.

I'm wondering what experimental the engineer is offering.

Monsterred or Thermal Spread on the PSU.

Blast radius bonus. So the next PSU failure is at least a spectacular view. :D :D
