Rechecked the delivery mission payouts, now that it's been a couple of days. Results: about a 90% nerf. Plus you need more cargo space, because they now sometimes require more than 180 tons. Which means you pretty much have to drive a Python unless you want to make multiple trips (very few go to large pad stations). Very sad state of affairs for those missions, now.
So instead I went for some stacked massacre missions, which I've never tried before. The station I was at happened to have 3 factions offering small missions for the same group of pirates -- one for 10, one for 6, and one for 3 pirates. So I would have to kill 10 pirates, total, which seemed about right for my time frame.
And off I went. The enemies were easily found in the mission signal source, and the first group of them were all novice or mostly harmless. At least it was over quickly.
Once I ran out of those 6, however, there were no more to be found. No signal source either. I headed to the Nav beacon, and scanned that. It found me another signal source, wayyy far away of course.
Once I got there, the enemies inside were all dangerous rank -- vultures and pythons mostly. They took a bit longer to kill.
One of the pirates was an ED Backer. He had this to say about the recent nerfs:
In the end I made about 14 million between the mission rewards and the bounties. I was slow about things, so it took me a couple of hours. It was interesting, though. I may do more of these.
