I yet found a sandy planet like that. But I'm too busy testing out the Mamba & get the modules engineered for FDL now, so I can swap between them at will (without swapping mods)
These are my ships of the month!! Cheiftain still on active list, Vulture following it. FAS is sadly stored with mods stripped.
I'm currently playing FC6 and Breakpoint previously. This really sounds like Ubisoft error codes. Spent last two months googling those. XD

You getting errors in FC6? Seems pretty stable on my rig.
I did when I installed it. Nothing major, just a random crash to desktop from time to time. Definitely much better than Breakpoint. But considering the weird save system in FC6, it did become bothersome after a while.
Then the 1.04 (or whatever) patch dropped last week and it's been good since then.

I still think Elite can be the best space sim out there.
It already is, I think. Despite it's many shortcomings, there's nothing else like it. That's why I'm still here! It scratches an itch that no other game touches (so far!)
I'd love to see some actual competition in this area, though. I haven't heard of much in the pipeline, though.
I've seen alternatives highlighted by Elite content providers, and I do think Star Citizen looks interesting and very pretty in its own right, but I'm a decades old Elite fanboy and I want it to get out of its slump.
