I didn't know before today, but Brick Top is "very similar" to some of (all of?) the roles Alan Ford has played. Been watching a few clips, and Alan the Homeopath and his role in Lilyhammer to mention a couple of them.

IIRC you can get sensor fragments from shooting the drones around Thargoid structures. As a material you get 3 per drop and they're cool locations to visit so it shouldn't be too much of a chore.
No, Guardian and Thargoid don't mix. At the site where you are getting the fragments, though, you have to shoot the probes to make fragments, then pick 'em up with your SRV. You can log off and on to refresh the site. Don't pick up the probes themselves, just the fragments (probes are corrosive).
