Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

I'm wandering about this mountainous planet looking for some sort of Fungus.
No Stargoids out here, so far :)

The Fungus has been found. All hail the Fungus.
Those are what I call the "Jawbraker" plant, I think you might have a different name for jawbreakers in Europe. Anyway, I figured out my problem, there was a small update FDev came out with after I had opened my launcher that was causing problems.

I'll bet the update was for the "anomaly" and they might not have liked the way it was behaving, this whole thing is so crazy. It could be an AI or Thargoids, why speculate?

My project is nearly at an end, just one more step to go and it will probably be the most frustrating. But, needs must!

In the intetirim, I've cobbled together a new loadout, specifically aimed at CZ's:

I had been doing the station run-around after the Thursday tick to find a Dom G3 but... nada. I had to get a G2 and upgrade that - a lot of mats were procured (and stolen) but, luckily, I had the majority. Break time from suit/weapon grinding!

Despite the last time I ventured off the galactic plane turning out to be an extremely strange and creepy experience...

...here I am again.

This time I am diving down - appropriate for a dolphin, perhaps - into the dark reaches at the edge of the void.

The void.

Anyway, even on planetary surfaces there's a distinct asymmetry in the number of stars on each side of the galactic band 😸

CMDR C. Z. Jarhead - Combat Zealot?

...

Sorry. Too much tea this morning.
That does not compute...

I think.. I think it's time to go CZing.

Suit ready? Check
D.C.S. and tactical database assimilation? Check.
Ordinance loading, weapons strip, and drop ship prep details? Check

Move it!

Pfft. Next you'll be telling me to put the milk in before pouring the boiling water...
The milk goes into the cup, the boiling water goes into the warmed teapot. But you have a couple of minutes or more while the tea brews so the milk can go in after just not in the same vessel.

You put milk in tea?

Oh my. Where to begin...

Everyone knows that the only acceptable additive to tea and/or coffee is ice, right?

For sweet tea on a hot day, absolutely. And you brew it outdoors. You take three of these:

Put them in a one gallon jug with a half cup of sugar, fill it with water and set it outside at 8:00 AM. At 4:00 PM it's done. Take the bags out, ice it up and enjoy.

For hot tea, you use this:

Put a heaping teaspoon into your screen cup, add 210 degree water and let it steep for 4 minutes. No milk. No lemon. One teaspoon of sugar is allowed, but that's it.

It's that simple, folks.

Oh, you use Nature's Microwave...

Thanks for the tip. I've been brewing cold fruit infusions for years, and the occasional coffee cold brew - but never tried to cold brew black tea yet. I'd still put in the sugar (and lemon or whatever) after the brewing - and, being in Europe, I don't have a gallon jug. And I'll use a local brand - the tea itself is cheap enough, but Google claims it'd cost me 200 € in shipping.

Ah! So you're a purist - none of that modern teabag nonsense for you then! Of course, you missed a couple of vital points:

1) Always use freshly drawn water
2) Warm the teapot before adding boiling water
3) Use a tea cosey.
