Maybe I'll go you guys route then: wait until I have more money than I know what to do with and then add it.
The main complaint about selling items in the bar is that the price cap is too low. That's what I was wondering: if anybody actually used it for selling anything. In my brief excursion into on foot missions, most places I went looking for materials didn't have any. I wasted about 2 hours looking.
I wasn't sure if that was a one off or if that was typical.

Some items are very hard to come by, and the maximum price you can charge for them is not worth the effort: this has been pointed out several times on the forums. People wouldn't really mind spending millions on the rarest items, if only it were possible to set the prices 10 or even 100 times higher than the current cap.
That's an interesting point and not one I've looked at. What is the cap? Just in case I run across a few dozen SDP's...The main complaint about selling items in the bar is that the price cap is too low.

The question before the Fleet Carrier Owners Panel today is:
Concourse bar: yes or no?
I'd pay for it if they would recognise me as the FC owner.People's views will differ here!
I'm a no because a) I doubt I'll set it up as a material seller; b) I'm not usually on my carrier long enough to bother with a bar; and c) they're too expensive.
But, each to their own - there's no right or wrong.
Hear hear!I'd pay for it if they would recognise me as the FC owner.
What's your Python build look like for the Robigo runs? I have a Python that's been gathering dust and it might be fun to try the Robigo stuffs. You did it wrong. You never, ever go to Hauser's reach. It's just Robigo to Sirius and back.
I put one in for a while. It was cool to visit a couple of times, but in the end I had no use for it. I don't need extra storage for on-foot mats, and selling them is a dead end anyway because of the price cap.Concourse bar: yes or no?
I don't always turn it on, but I do have it, if only to sell surplus on-foot materials to needy CMDRs!The question before the Fleet Carrier Owners Panel today is:

So I had it for a while, sat in the chair a couple of time and chatted with the bartender, who had basically nothing to say, and then I uninstalled it.![]()
The cap for SDP is 220,000 Cr... go figure. That's an interesting point and not one I've looked at. What is th cap? Just in case I run across a few dozen SDP's...
If you have access to engineering and put an Engineered FSD V1 in it you will easily get the Python over the 21ly JP range needed to do the round trip on fastest route with no fuel scoop needed. I suggest 2 heat sink launchers to defeat scans if they happen at all, no shield and then the highest grade passenger cabins that you can get 8 people into until you get to the smaller cabin sizes. What's your Python build look like for the Robigo runs? I have it gone now because I just left to return to the carrier, but here it is manually:What's your Python build look like for the Robigo runs? I have a Python that's been gathering dust and it might be fun to try the Robigo stuffs.
Great, thanks for the info! I have various ways to make money when I need it, but I've never tried this one and it sounds amusing enough. I'll have to give it a go.I have it gone now because I just left to return to the carrier, but here it is manually:
Nothing in the hard points.
Nothing but a heat sink launcher in the utility mounts.
Business class in all of the 6 compartments.
Economy class in all of the 5 compartments and the 4 compartment.
3C Bi-weave shield
Business class in the other 3 compartment.
Docking assist
Supercruise assist
Lightweight armor
4A power plant
5D thrusters
5A FSD
4D life support
6D sensors
5C fuel tank
FSD is engineered to level 5 with mass manager.
Everything else is light weight.
You have to have a 31 LY jump range when finished to make it 2 jumps each way, otherwise it's 3 jumps each way.
Edit to add: I had a balance of 90 million when I started yesterday. I played about an hour and a half yesterday and two hours today and now have a balance of 505 million...and that's after buying another load of Tritium to top off my carrier that ran around 25 million.
For me, it's not just the easy money. It's the materials.Great, thanks for the info! I have various ways to make money when I need it, but I've never tried this one and it sounds amusing enough. I'll have to give it a go.
That's a nice shot!I should have brought some ice skates. I didn't know the SRV could go sideways, but it can here.

Yes, I'm feeling the call for a tritium replenishment too. Not that I have any jourmies planned either...This has been my view today. The carrier is now flush with Tritium again, and ready to go wherever I might decide to go. I like to be ready to just take off somewhere
Not that I'm planning any long expeditions soon. But ya never know.
