Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Oh absolutely not. I'll be using it to try to kick some bad guys' ****.
Get used to disappointment.

The gun is so inaccurate that it takes 200 rounds to kill someone unless you're about 20 meters away. The rocket launcher is essentially useless as well. The only thing it's really good for is it's armor. It will get you out of trouble without getting you killed. That's the only thing it has going for it, really.

If it wasn't for the tough armor, I wouldn't use one at all.

There's only the two kinds, so far, the original Scarab and the new Scorpion.

So you probably already have a Scarab. Yay! :)
Hmmm...I don't think I do. Certainly not in the Dolphin I'm currently in but I'll check my other ships when I get back to Garay Terminal. Only got 46 jumps to go now but still might take me a while as I often find stuff worth first mapping, even when the systems I arrive at are pretty much already discovered by others now.

EDIT: Yup - yer right. :p

Never seen that. It's on nearly every single planet I've ever scanned.

And I just made it to Ecologist rank in Exobiology.

I wonder if you are visiting particular star types or are in an area of the galaxy where stratum is more common?
I don't see it that often, but bacteria is very common.
Well from my position 73% of the way through Collector my experience indicates that any odyssey planet with biology has some sort of Bacterium and round where I am Fonticulua is most likely to be the second on any planet with more than one,Tussocks are also fairly common perhaps more so when I was out the other side of the Bubble.
Aluminum. Nobody makes tin foil anymore.
That is because the government banned its production aluminium doesn’t block mind rays.

Well, all I know is that it has worked the same in all the years I've been playing.

Here's how it works, in case any actual newcomers drop by.

1) If your SRV is destroyed, you cannot get it back without docking at a station. You can then get a new one from Outfitting or by Restocking. This also works on carriers if they have the relevant modules installed.
2) If your SRV is damaged, it will auto-repair when you board your ship. If you have previously repaired it with premium synthesis, the buff will be lost.
3) Your SRV will NOT be refueled when you board your ship. You can synthesize fuel if you have the mats.
4) Your SRV will be refueled when you dock at a station and refuel your ship.

Them's the rules. Disagree if you like, but you'll have to make a video to prove it :)
I don't have to prove anything to anyone here.

You assume that everyone has the same experience with the same game and it's plain wrong, there are margin of errors of different value for all PCs, even with the same components, that's CPU, RAM and HD and SSDs, all uniques to every PC, read/write error are not uncommun at all, neither are bugs.

If you play a lot you'll bump into them more often, it goes for the game servers too, they service them for this reason, I experience this often enough to know despite the fact that I service my PC every single day with a pro cleaner, you end up with stuff like ship interface pollution, where you have both the left and the right panels on top of each other meaning you can't select a function at all.

It's not a graphic card or driver error and it sorts istself out when logging out and back in again. That's the effect of files being rewritten over the corrupted ones.

That's why game technical support ask players to uninstall-reinstal games, files corruption is a thing that doesn't need to be "proven", it is specific for each PC, chances are some guys are experiencing a particular issue and no one else does, SRV repair occasionaly not working could be one of those, nobody would know.

So if my SRV repairs didn't work at the time I took the decision to fit two of them on my ships, it happened. Now, how about all what you don't know?

I like to use it to soften up the target forces before I get out on foot.

It is also a blast (NPI) with a second commander in the gunner seat...one driving and one shooting...though some coordination is required. This can work pretty well for shooting down ships in a ground CZ.

I'm only 23 jumps from Deciat now and 1005 LY from Sol.

I just came across this terrestrial ammonia world. I'm given to understand that these are as rare as rocking horse **** so I've mapped it as well. Ok, it's not a first discovery for me or even a first map, but should still be worth a credit or two I guess so I won't be a moaning about it. Ok ok, I'll get me coat...
