It's also to find specific materials that are more numerous in this kind of systems, I use this but also EDDB - Elite: Dangerous Database both can be a bit unreliable at time, it depends on refresh times...

There is a human location on this planet, but I can not land on it to check. And it does not show up in the navigation tab of the external panel. The generation ship is in the vicinity of this planet. Could that be the human location?
Yes things like orbiting fleet carriers show up as human signals around the planet.
Just had a piece of luck - found a G3 Dom suit with faster shield regen!

A clear case of watching too many old westerns.Well yeah, you gotta have ammo in order to reload. I guess that wasn’t obvious?
In high gravity it is dangerous to get out of our acceleration chair, there is a glitch in the gravity modelling which hasn’t allowed enough reduction due to distance from the source so the check decides you can’t get out of the chair.
Perhaps when you got up to the launch position you had gone far enough away from the source that the gravity was below the check value.
Or it is a bug that is only partly fixed.
Does it depend on their rank? Sharpshooters, Commandos etc. One lot of them are pretty tough nuts.
True but you also have a lot of traffic jams, particularly on the circulars, M25, A 40s, A 205 etc, as a bike courier, it would take me one third of the time to get from Uxbridge to W1 than a small van depending on the time of the day but I was filtering all the way on the motorway...

I like to take out the Sharpshooters first and quickly. They can hurt you, real bad, and don't do your ship any favours either.

No platinum. Mostly just Palladium and Osmium.
So I got frustrated and went to a Painite hot spot to try my luck there.
Guess what? Go on, guess.
No Painite. Now I'm getting mostly Platinum.
I'm sorry, but when your so-called "HOT SPOTS" have none of the material in it that it's supposed to have, that's not RNG. That's either an intentional nerf or an unintentional screw-up of EPIC proportions.
And for the record, folks, this is roughly 5,500 LY away from the bubble in a system nobody but me has ever been to.
Headed out to a Platinum hot spot again.

Now that FSS works, everything feels a lot easier, note that I have now the same settings that when it didn't work, anyway, scanning every planet L3 takes a lot of time in a 30+ planet system and up to 50% of the Krait fuel autonomy...

Definitely not RNG. Hotspots are buggy, there’s no question. The sad part is that they used to work.

Haven't been mining in a while. I'll have to check out my go-to spot once I've finished this suit. Doesn't sound good

I know. That's what makes it so frustrating. If it had always been this way, I wouldn't care because I wouldn't know any better.
Most of the money I made in this game to date was made in one little platinum hot spot in Salikians that was mined 'round the clock by everybody and their mother.
Now, even in the deep of space in platinum hot spots nobody has ever touched I can't find any platinum. It actually all started with @thinder , remember? He kept hitting platinum hot spots with no platinum and we're all asking him 1000 questions.
I don't know if they've just messed something up or done it intentionally, but it's pretty much over for making money mining right now.
