It's literally my least favourite.but the North America Animal Pack is the best DLC in the game, hands down.
I wonder which of us has the hotter take on that.

It extremely depends on whether you're from the US or not. For me the only common zoo animal I actually get to see in european zoos from the NA pack is the alligator and prairie dog. It's literally my least favourite.![]()

It's just the alligator for me. Auckland Zoo had California sea lions for a time but they've been replaced by rehabilitated NZ fur seals (and the sea lion is immersion-breaking for me anyway because I can't look past how small the bull is).It extremely depends on whether you're from the US or not. I'm not from the US, and I would consider most of those species fairly common in captivityIt extremely depends on whether you're from the US or not. For me the only common zoo animal I actually get to see in european zoos from the NA pack is the alligator and prairie dog.
It’s similar for me, the alligator is the only animal from the NA pack that has much of a captive presence here and so it’s the one I get the most use out of. The only other animal in the pack that is kept in Australia is the California sea lion, but they are still only kept at Taronga Zoo and Sea World (the latter of which I’m not sure I’d consider a zoo). It's just the alligator for me. That's pretty much it exactly.I think all of the animals in the NA pack were great, most of them just aren’t that useful for me.
Damn, beat me to it. Was gonna say the exact same thing. It’s similar for me, the alligator is the only animal from the NA pack that has much of a captive presence here and so it’s the one I get the most use out of. Absolutely agree, I extensively make north American zoos so naturally it's my favourite dlcI'm not sure if this is actually an unpopular opinion or if I just haven't heard it discussed much, but the North America Animal Pack is the best DLC in the game, hands down. With the possible exception of the American Bullfrog, every single animal inclusion is justified, and between the Arctic Fox's snow pouncing, the Prairie Dog's burrowing, and the Moose locking antlers with each other, the animation quality is second to none.
Lemme expand this: I want the NA otter and the European otter.Got another good one:
Eurasian Otter > North American River Otter
And the best part is that my reasoning goes beyond that im European and not American, but that they are significantly different from the two otters in game through zheir requirements, not only living in pairs instead of groups, but also living across 3 continents and all 7 biomes with one of the largest ranges in the game.
Theres a reason why its also called the Old world otter
Why not almost every other otter in a single packLemme expand this: I want the NA otter and the European otter.
I also say that the American black bear MUST be in the game, despite people not wanting it. Totally important for a local fauna zoo
Agreed that the Africa pack should have been an animal pack. The architecture should have been included in a Middle East or desert scenery pack.My hot take is the Africa pack and this upcoming twilight pack are actively hindered and worse for being scenery packs. So many missing species and the scenery is so incongruent with the species… most of the animals in the Africa pack are from South Africa yet we have North African and Egyptian signs for them… we have Romanian/ gothic architecture when the only European animal in the twilight pack is the red fox…
I really hate when the scenery and animal selection is at odds
Funny that both these packs are still my favourite packs! Even though twilight hasn’t come out yet, it is already top of my list. This is the best thing I have read in the forum in a long time. We have already talked about it years ago but imagine simple reskins available every month for certain overpriced amount. I would buy them all and many of you would do probably do the same.-Frontier is missing out on a lot of money by not selling small overpriced DLCs with easy-to-do species between the usual ones.
.
Yeah pretty much, so many reskinned animals for seperate biomes that would be a waste of space for the dlc. Like I would love the American flamingo but in a dlc pack?
