That's the point..it's not saying it's the absolute meta. It's good enough for a new player to survive and beat the medium level PvPer in an FDL. Or at the very least last long enough to make it a good fight.

So who’s winning atm between FDL and P2 with evenly matched skill level?
I honestly don't know at the moment. Have been busy IRL and haven't been able to play because of the thrustmaster button issue so have been doing other things but it seems case dependent. If the players are both of a very high skill level, the extra manoeuvrability of the FDL should come out on top but it's so close most people are describing it as a side grade. I'm not the best person to ask at the moment as I haven't been active but my opinion from what I've heard is that if the skill level is anything less than the top 5% The Python stands a strong chance of winning due to it's greater fire power. It does suffer more pip pressure though. But this can be negated by choosing Pacifiers or Frags. So it's easier to use for new PvPers. Hence my original statement.
Yeah, that all makes sense. Sounds like fdev have managed to get a reasonable balance
Yeah they've honestly done very well. They've listened and analyzed the situation pretty spot on I'd say. Now if only they'd fix the button issue I could actually play again!
