What did you do in Jurassic World Evolution 2 Today?

I made a Jurassic-World-type park in Sierra Nevada where the film Jurassic World: Dominion and the last of the Chaos Theory levels took place.

Under the sandbox gameplay, I can make a better park full of carnivores than the Northwest USA challenge mode.

I thought that the Jurassic Tour and Gyrosphere could cover Transport, but it was not enough. Therefore, I have to build the monorail on the starting point and the rest stops.

The starting point has two different Viewing Gallery exhibits: the first one is to see the world's smallest carnivores (specifically Compsognathus and Moros Intrepidus) whereas the second one is to see Dilophosaurus.

In the Jurassic Tour, people can see Coelophysis and Monolophosaurus.

When people begin taking the Gyrosphere; they get to see different carnivore species kept in separate enclosures: Dimetrodon, Megalosaurus, Cryolophosaurus, Metriacanthosaurus, and Australovenator.

Beyond the first Gyrosphere rest stop are exhibits that contain multiple species of carnivores:

1. I put the three species of dromaeosaur-type theropods together: Atrociraptor, Deinonychus, and Pyroraptor. I wonder if fans and other players want those three species to like each other in the non-sandbox gameplay.

2. Like in the Jurassic-Park-type park full of carnivores; the Morrison Formation exhibit consists of Ceratosaurus and Allosaurus. I also put the two abelisaurs (Majungasaurus and Carnotaurus) together in a separate exhibit.

3. Due to being medium-sized tyrannosaurs, I put Qianzhousaurus together with Albertosaurus.

4. After seeing the medium-sized tyrannosaurs, people get to see the carcharodontosaurids. Like in the Jurassic-Park-type-park full of carnivores, I put Acrocanthosaurus together with Carcharodontosaurus.

The second Gyrosphere rest stop is where people get to see the fish-eating dinosaurs: Suchomimus, Baryonyx, and Spinosaurus. In addition, people also get to see two species of long-necked plesiosaurs: Plesiosaurus and Elasmosaurus.

The third Gyrosphere rest stop is where people get to the carnivorous marine reptiles: Liopleurodon and Kronosaurus.

Between the T-Rex and Giganotosaurus exhibits is the fourth Gyrosphere rest stop in which people can see the Mosasaurus.

We would appreciate if the following cohabitation relationships be amended for the non-sandbox gameplay:

  • Acrocanthosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus
  • Albertosaurus and Qianzhousaurus

It takes a lot of space to exhibit those carnivores separately especially in the Northwest USA challenge mode.

thanks to certain friends in the community I have made the environment look very interesting at night and I'm hoping more Lux skins come for different species in the game in the future but for now I actually made the environment start to Glow at night thanks to certain members in the community here.

Well I'm not completely finished but as you can see I'm very close to making this very interesting for everybody to look at. Trying to make everything glow kind of similar to Avatar as another certain member from this community did before.

Great looking screenshots, Mike! <3

Thank you, Mr. Erik. The Steam app enables taking screenshots during the gameplay.

I have planned to make an all-herbivores Jurassic-World-type-park in one of the three islands in the Malta region in the sandbox gameplay.

One of those islands in the Malta region looks favorable to experiment on making the Ultimate Jurassic Park.

What did I do today? Wasted a lot of time and ended up angry as a result. I played the Challenge mode level for "Jurassic Park' (the one with the disloyal scientists)... after failing it yesterday I played it absolutely perfectly today and still failed. All I can put it down to (aside from the constant sabotage, which was going on even when scientists weren't being used and the sabotage meter was at zero) is the broken physics for the cars, making the park tours inoperable. Until you fix this bug you introduced with Malta, these challenges are un-winnable. I mean, look at this screenshot. This happened within minutes of me deleting the entire tour track and rebuilding it from scratch. None of the cars stay on the tracks for a full lap. They all go cartwheeling off into the furthest reaches of the enclosures. The tours are constantly in shutdown. Rebooting them doesn't fix them. Literally the moment they're rebooted they shut down again. And because the carnivores are intelligent in this challenge, the tour cars are the only way to get visibility of them. I had the perfect park, sitting at 4.5 starts, but failed because I couldn't get visibility of the carnivores. On Medium difficulty, for heavens sake. It wasn't even on Hard!

Anyway, I'm completely over this game. Wasted 5+ hours on it yesterday and 4.5 hours on it today. That's me done with JWE for the next few months. I'm out. Seriously. Make it challenging, sure, but don't make it infuriatingly impossible because of bugged physics. My time in precious and if I'm not enjoying the experience I'm not gunna play. It's that simple.

Yeah, some if not the base game Jurassic Difficulty challenges are somewhat bad.

Hi Bray!

I'm sorry to hear about the frustrations this caused you. While there will sometimes be a bit of bounce to the cars when they get hit by dinosaurs, they should quickly find solid ground again. Keep in mind that aggressive dinosaurs, especially carnivores, will knock the cars around a fair bit, but this can be mitigated by having fences between the tour cars and the dinosaurs.

I'll reach out to the dev team about this just in case.

Hey Jens, thanks for reaching out to the development team about this. This is not the normal car-knocking behaviour. I know exactly what you're describing. But since the Malta expansion, all of the land-based vehicles defy gravity. I have to drive the ranger & MVU vehicles very slowly and carefully to avoid them launching into the air and rolling for an excessive amount of time. These vehicles do usually right themselves after about a minute or two, but it's extremely annoying to have to wait that long, and sometimes the damage from rolling that long is enough to destroy them entirely. Interestingly they drive fine when they're doing their automated tasks, it's only the manual control that the physics is now bugged on.
The tour vehicles are on a whole other level though. The slightest touch from any dino, even being brushed by a gallimimus, is enough to send the car cartwheeling off into the nether regions of the enclosure. They never stop bouncing. They never right themselves. Tasking a ranger to reboot the ride doesn't get the vehicles back on the track, and the ride immediately enters shutdown again. The only way to get rid of the endlessly bouncing vehicles is to delete the whole tour track. It's infuriating. Completely bugged physics, but I'm surprised more people aren't having this problem. It only began with the Malta expansion. I can only find one other reference to it in the forums here.
the ranger vehicle bouncing around as though it is in a pinball machine

FYI I'm playing on PC, with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 16BG GDDR6 with G-sync (165W TGP) running NVIDIA Game Ready Driver (latest update 528.24)

This is also happening on the Xbox One. My temporary fix was to save and reload the map to reset the cars. I was able to get 5 stars on the map through patience and a number of reloading. I did play on the series X and this bug wasn't there. I even tried to upload this happening on the club on Xbox. At first, it's funny but it does get old. If they weren't bouncing all over the place, they would be permanently broken on the side of the rack, often blocking the rest of the cars perpetually forever. To prevent this, I figure there should be a time limit of how long a car can stay off the track when not being operated by the user.

Forgot to add that maximizing the distance between cars helped mitigate the issue but didn't resolve it as a few would still sit on the side of the track without resetting after being touched by a dino.

When it comes to carnivores in the Jurassic-Park-type park; Coelophysis, Proceratosaurus, and Troodon are safe to be viewed in the Park Tour. It is best that the other carnivore species to be either viewing gallery or viewing platform attractions.

Viewing galleries are difficult in the Jurassic Park challenge level, as the carnivores are 'intelligent' and can see guests through the fence, and then break out. I gotta keep a buffer between my guests and the exhibits. Conveniently, this buffer is the same distance the viewing platforms can see, but that only gives visibility at the front of the enclosure. To get visibility for the whole enclosure (and thus get 5 stars) I need to put a tour ride through. But a car tour doesn't work when the vehicle physics are broken.

Well, I tried to recreate the U.S Wildlife relocation facility, a small 5 hour project with less than 20 dinosaurs, but I needed to do this location before I started work on my Biosyn sanctuary, from Pennsylvania they are going to fly up to the Dolomites.
