Really nice
I use the habitat size references workshop item by formtastic to vaguely plan out where I want habitats to go if I'm feeling uninspired for the actual design and build. I usually make them bigger than they need to be so I've got room to move when the time comes but it definitely helps sneak around creative blocks.I'm kind of unsure of what to do next. I want to add a river running through my zoo, but before I do that I need to finish the Africa section (I want all of that on one side of the river), but I'm feeling so uninspired for Africa right now. Yet I know where I want the river to start, which means I can't yet build on the other side of the zoo.
This looks very good! the lynx so cuteToday I built in a different part of the zoo and decided to go for a lynx habitat. Since I love this animal, I gave it a prominent place in the park with a big indoor area;

That is one of the most helpful workshop items I have ever seen. I need that.I use the habitat size references workshop item by formtastic to vaguely plan out where I want habitats to go if I'm feeling uninspired for the actual design and build. My first penguin enclosure was the same way! I still wish I hadn't erased that zoo...that was probably the best habitat I'd ever built.I just realized I had an uper level in Wingburg near the sea lions and could very well build the pool on ground level and the land area on upper level.
I read that as "geiler Zoo" and well, it would still be fitting.I made some progress on my current zoo which also has a name now: Geller Zoo.
Entrance. I feel like it was missing something "grand" so I added this large elongated cover. The surroundings still need a lot of work, namely foliage, but I will get to that eventually.

This is a WIP dual habitat with babirusas and warthogs, just behind the fallow deer habitat. I'm going for the same style for both habitats, something that would have been built all together and then split into two habitats.

Improvised small aviary for the kookaburra. The birds are from the workshop (I think it's Drac's bird pack - one of them, I know they have a few bird packs on the workshop).

Opposite to the aviary is the lynx habitat. I think this is probably one of my favorite builds I've ever made. The terrain is different in elevation, they have a pond, climbing stuff, and a cave that acts as their shelter, and a walk in space for the visitors.

Top down view of the zoo so far. There is a tortoise habitat to the left. It was meant to be a small, filler habitat, but I don't like it, and I'll probably change it all together or just put something else there.

(Sorry guys, it's a german thing)
Nah, I guess the english equivalent in the way we use "geiler" would be "sick" as a positive affirmation. And I still can't wrap my head around that sick is actually used as describing something you appreciate.Google Translate tells me "geiler" means "hotter"![]()
Dang, that's great. You are on a roll, Sir!Decided I didn't like my "baboon/mandrill" habitat so I redid it completely, and now I think it's awesome. I still need to finish the raised viewing area but I ran out of time and wanted to share it. Only one picture.
