I have the same issue. Look at this Kentia Palm I got from my mom on birthday. I cannot get to my balcony any more. What is even weirder, even small animals like my cat cannot pass that. Please fix the hitboxes!!

Building this I am again being reminded why working on aquatic habitats and marine zoos was always my fave thing to do in ZT2...please give us a real marine dlc Frontier! 
It's the African Penguin habitat btw. Located at the beginning of the Africa section of the zoo, next to the King Penguins to keep the different species close together.

Dugongs, manatees, sea otters, walrus, elephant seals, leopard seals, and/or any of the dozens of other pinnipeds would work for me in a Marine DLC!

I'm not very good at architecture stuff, but to my mind if it was the same height as the entranceway it might be more satisfying for you.
I’ll try that. The sign background is very big and is sunken into the ground which is why I have the rocks.
