What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

I've done some planting. There's also a little building there which contains two exhibits, one for Danube newts and one for axolotls. After building it I realised I haven't put any amenities in yet, aka toilets and food/drink stalls. I also made an attempt at building an administration building for the staff room, trade centre, etc., but every version ended up looking average as hell so right now those facilities are still just naked. Anyway, in the foreground gap there beside the amphibian building I'll put in some toilets.

And I've started work on a lemur walkthrough. Man I hate working with this stupid mesh. I did try and do a peaked roof but it just wasn't working. I might make another attempt. Originally this was going to be where my capuchins were planned to go, but after seeing cooper_yang's capuchin/anteater mix I decided I'll keep the capuchins until I get around to the children's zoo/barnyard and put them in with the planned capybara. This is actually loosely based on the native bird aviary at Orana Wildlife Park. Also, I'm really not sure what to do with the siamang tower. I think I'll just delete it. They don't use it anyway (honestly the fact that climbing animals in this game don't just climb for the sake of climbing is such a failure).

Follow up on my earlier post: I'm still a bit undecided on how to plan much of my park, but I decided not to fully start over. However, I will redo a big section (ironically this is more or less the section that I decided to not delete during my last radical overhaul). I am, however, building a new entrance section in a separate map, that I intend to transplant to my original zoo map. I really enjoy how it's turning out so far.

Well, I finished this, but I'm not happy with it. I think I'll rebuild it and nix the aviary idea, and instead go with an open-topped habitat that better fits the shape of the land its on. Even with planting around it, this building sticks out too much and feels unrealistic. It's also slightly too low-budget for this zoo's vibe, I think.

Would love some input as I feel I'm overthinking this. I want this plateau to be the dramatic, iconic home of the lions here in my zoo. So I need a couple of things: a general lay-out for their habitat, preferable with some verticality and dramatic rocks. One or more great viewing opportunities for the guests. And a monorail ride to help guests get up there faster. But currently the amount of options have overwhelmed my brain to the point of complete mind blankness :p

Finally made some progress on my lemurs. I ended up nixing the walkthrough idea - I just couldn't get it to look good. Left habitat is for black-and-white ruffed lemurs, right for ring-tailed lemurs. Obviously when the area's done the rear will be packed with foliage to hide the terrain behind it. In the top right corner you can see the beginnings of my little African carnivore area, which will have hyenas and cheetahs side-by-side and then probably caracals opposite, but we'll see how it goes when I get there.

Edit: I also realised I've got room on the lake for a third island. I have vague plans to get the mandrill in somewhere with the other African species but if it doesn't pan out, at least I have an option. I would love to include proboscis monkeys, but putting them on an island in the middle of a temperate lake does not seem realistic for that species, and there's no room in this zoo for a tropical hall.

I keep thinking, they can't seriously end support without giving us one more, right? But I really can't bring myself to get my hopes up.
That’s been me with new world monkeys and any “reasonable” bird pick. At this point you wouldn’t think they would go without one. Yet Zookeeper pack had neither. With the way things are I don’t even know if the next pack would either.

A squirrel monkey and American flamingo seem like such obvious and easy choices. Despite that even I’m beginning to doubt the possibility of their inclusion. That’s not to mention the black howler monkey, grey crowned crane, black swan, greater Rhea, etc. are also not out of the realms of possibility.

But if I know Frontier they like to surprise us, even if the choices leave us confused and scratching our heads.
