What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Experimenting with netted aviaries made out of mesh pieces. I like how it's going, but don't like that the mesh looks so weird when zoomed out.

HOLY COW! You are a magican, I thought this would be some kind of awesome mesh mod and you'd get in trouble for posting the pic. Sheesh, you are good!

What is the green circle for a piece? Can't even recognize that one.

Something I never ever do is plan ahead of a new DLC. Typically I wait until it's been released.

But, this time I thought of a great idea for Montego Bay Zoo. Here it comes. Get ready. (spoiler alert😛):

After I'm done with Australia, I'm going to make my very first children's zoo, with a general theme revolved around African deserts. It'll feature adorable fennec foxes, curious meerkats, majestic cheetahs, and rare scimitar horned oryxes. I'll also feature the new soundboard education system.

Ugh, man, I can't wait

The circle is made out of the smallest Australian metal pieces. And I don't use mods, so this is all possible with in-game pieces. Planning to release a blueprint when I get further.

Yesterday I decided to delete my tropical hall including all habitats and exhibits and start from scratch. The old hall had Orang-Utans, ASCOs, komodo dragons, Babirusas and Malayan Tapirs, the new one will be exclusive for primates (Orang Utan, Proboscis Monkey, Siamang). And well ASCOs and Binturongs.
This is how far I came today:

I also put some time back into this game, and what better way then by building for my favorite animal in the game?

After not continuing my small asian area, because i simply didnt want to build for the red pandas this habitat was suppoused for, i just thought f it, dholes.
Been way to long since i last build for them and they fit through the implied entrances of the shelter, so it was a great fit.
Now they live in this not nearly finished, chinese and japanese gardens inspired habitat, right next to the cranes. I personally really love it so far and the view on the bisons behind them fits really well. Also as you can see, the rocks in the background are completly climeable, which took quite a bit of fiddeling but thanks to the great traversable area of the dholes it was more then possible. Did i allready mention that i love them very much? Hitbox could be just a bit smaller, but besides that general problem they really are the best canid to build for from both a gameplay and diversity of habitat types perspective.

To keep them in, their is a little rocky trench, aswell as barbed wire on the backside of the fence, hidden from the view of the guests.
I also decorated the trench with flowers, because if im gonna do a garden inspired area im sure as hell gonna put in some flowers.

And thats it from me today, so far the habitat was super fun and i hope that i will actually come atleast close to finishing soon.
In the meantime im gonna look at all of your cool stuff, admire the speed that aramar pumps out new goodlooking habitats in and brainstorm more to build a zoo to rival my old ;)

I had to make a break with planet zoo (I’m working on a game too but different and we are on the end of the pre-production ^^) et I want to wait the DLC for the plants, backstage stuff (lot of hype!) for some habitats and places in the park! But I’m trying to have some progress. ☺️
WIP!

I discovered that you apparently don't get notifications anymore when an animal dies. In the case of my bull indian rhinoceros I found this when I checked his habitat ...

But I also finished the new habitat for Orangs and ASCOs including a pool for the otters and an overpass for the Orangs.
