Ok, here are mine:
1) Fix all the bugs, yes ALL of them. EDH 3.8, 4.0 and EDO 4.0.
2) QOL updates: Fix all the bugs again, because old bugs seem to keep coming back, so this addresses that.
3) Ability to remote xfer tritium on FC's from storage to Tritium depot, even if we have to pay some 16 year old kid to move the stuff for us.
4) Make the skybox in EDH 4.0 be able to match the EDH 3.8 skybox. Probably by more graphic options, sliders, shader settings in xml files, etc
5) Fix that horrible bug tracker tool and stop the popularity contest for valid bugs.

After all that then yes finally new content, but I'll let the other posts cover those requests.

Fix "graphical issues" (planetary generation, etc. and Anti Aliasing)
Fix the planetary "dots" while in supercruise back to their behaviour like in EDH (3.8)
Better gear for exobiology (like ship and SRV scanners to better find biological sites after having DSS'd the planet)
General bugfixes (delayed sound after exiting SC, NPC pilot avatars and the like...)
Let the NPC crew of "my" carrier recognize me on approach and talk to me accordingly

My 2 ct ymmv

Devs: Here, after years of coding, we give you what you asked for, the spacelegs!
Community: That's not how the spacelegs work!
Are you joking or just being disingenuous? The state of Odyssey at release was hardly what "the community" has asked for.

I know it's impossible to please everyone and that design by community committee is a bad idea, but I don't see how your argument is a fair assessment.

I don't really mind what gets done I just want to know what's in the pipeline.

But I would be happy to see:
A unified ED playerbase across versions (cross-instancing)
More landable planets
A speedboat
More ships
More meaningful PvP opportunities

The state/quality of the game is not the subject here. No one asks or wishes for a laggy game. EDO gameplay has not changed since release

the clue is in the name imo****....... Dont get me wrong, i know a lot of players did want on foot planetary content, but the bar is really high for that kind of gameplay with a lot of games offering that. Far fewer offer in space stuff (which elite would be well positioned to offer imo)

*** yes i know the space platforms ARE in space, but the gameplay doesnt show this at all.

Nobody asked for this specific set of features either. It's not like the community wrote a design document, Frontier implemented exactly that and then the community was mad about it. Which is kind of what that comment implied.

1. Improve 4.0 VR performance.
2. Fix the antialias in 4.0
3. Fix flikering and moving shadows in 4.0

5. Add On foot VR with just basic controler controls. (kbm, xbox controler, etc). 4.0

6. Fix death not removing bonds in 4.0, its removed in 3.8 which is good.
7. Fix primium ammo exploit in 3.8 and 4.0
8. Fix thargoid interceptors not using caustic missiles in 3.8
9. Fix thargoid interceptors not using shutdown field on next to last heart in 3.8
10. Fix Npcs and cap ships stealing kill rewards in AX CZs in 3.8
11. Fix the gal map connectors toggle in 4.0 it is always on after a restart.
12. Fix show controls toggle in gal map in 4.0 it is always on after a restart.
13. Fix Codex Archive entries not working 3.8 and 4.0

15. Fix VR view glitch when entering glide in 4.0.
16. VR brightness in Codex and Squadrons in 4.0

17. Add the option to the synth panel to not show synths for things you dont have on the ship. (so you dont have to scroll through all items to get to the ones you use)
18. Add Audio sliders for Staion npcs, ship radio chatter, station anouncers, etc etc. rather than one slider for all.
19. Create a keybind option for EVERY ship toggle / request / action. (keybinds for :- request dock - super assist - target tracking type - rotational correction, etc etc etc)
20. Let players buy and sell every item in the game.

1: Landing on more planets, including waterworlds and eventually Earthlikes. Maybe a couple of new expansions to get there.

2: Ship and station interiors, including being able to leave the concourse, walk along the paths in "parkland" tourist stations, and enter those greenery-filled rings that some stations have. Let me see what has been taking up so much space in my Beluga.

3: Player-owned planetary settlements.

4: NPC copilot visible on my bridge, and in my Carrier's bar. Customisable uniforms for my staff.

5: Bug fixes.

I'd like to see more consistent updates to existing features. For example, Powerplay. It has been years since any change was made to its flow/balance apart from bug fixes.

It doesn't need to be big updates. So far it feels like those post-Odyssey updates are just trying to tick boxes from their release mess before moving on 🤷‍♂️

not at all........... my point is different strokes etc, There is a lot in ED i wish was better, some perhaps fanciful and some where FD have hugely dropped the ball imo.

but at its core I think the game IS fun...... You do you and all that but i was just suggesting that if you genuinely believe the game isnt fun then i cant imagine you being happy with what FD do deliver as they are unlikley to change the core game.
I don't consider engineers core game. More like a tumor.

All great ideas, but

FD is currently trying to figure out how to get dinosaurs to drive Formula 1 cars...

Best of luck getting anything done in ED when they can't even fix the broken thrusters in EDO

My "priorities" (or wishlist) to Dev:

1: Starting anew development of Odyssey for consoles. Some of us have weaker PC, which cause to unable play to PC version. No excuses, that it's impossible.
Additionally, crossplay between consoles and PC. Best is the same date, as release Odyssey for consoles.

2: "Upgrade" patch to new generation consoles. Additionally, consoles may supports VR and have more HOTAS options supported to consoles.

3: Thorough changes on anarchies (systems, missions (including their expansion missions), stations, services and markets). We're not want be treated like common criminals; anarchists and criminals have own life, which should be reflected on their systems, they also should be have their own articles on GalNet, which was been created by anarchists (or at least their counterpart of GalNet). Special ships (like private courier vessels) should be not limited to lawful systems. Add also easy version of piracy missions as a answer of lacking donate missions or/and new illegal missions for them, which not require Odyssey. Additionally, anarchies should have their own engineers, to modify ship equipment. And new ships, which can be found only on anarchy stations.

4: Powerplay: Add anarchies to Delaine favourite or anarchists will create new PP bubble, where regardless of faction government, those systems have always lawless state. Favours anarchies, cooperatives and communism.

5: BGS changes - Add rest of states, which for sure is available, but for some reasons are not added. Additionally, all BGS actions must be performed in Open play in order to count. Changes for some states, which should have more impact on factions and availability of services. F.e. Investment state can bring some parts in outfitting or ships, which is only available during this state, Pirate Attack state will drain more influence from faction to anarchy(ies), Terrorist attack state will also have draining influence effect to anarchy(ies) from a faction affected on it etc.

And I think most important thing: Do not avoid adding anarchies to CG, which we want to help. They have also their own stories, which for sure are more interesting, than from lawful factions.

My number 1 would be something I haven't seen mentioned in your opening post or the rest of the thread yet: a complete overhaul of "salvaging".

Salvaging is a good source of many, many engineering materials, but it is easily one of the most shallow "gameplay loops" in the entire game! Implementing proper gameplay for salvaging (which is something FDev themselves envisioned in the kickstarter days if I remember right) would give us another activity to do that is actually focused on spaceship gameplay, would make for a good source of engineering materials, not to mention how great the recently released "Hazard" ship kits would be for it! The whole current "gameplay" - look for a signal source, drop into the signal source, scoop or let your limpets scoop, rinse and repeat (or even more mindnumbing, relog) - honestly feels like a placeholder and was absolutely disappointing when I first started playing Elite. Salvaging could easily be as fun as mining, which is an activity Elite does really well compared to other games IMO.

1. Complete overhaul of salvaging to turn it into a proper gameplay activity
2. More exploration content/gameplay
3. Getting rid of engineering "rolls", instead of RNG, let me plan an upgrade path, knowing exactly how many materials I'll need
4. "Huge" ship class between L and carriers, with one ship each focused on every major activity
5. Torn between improvements of powerplay and expanding on story and lore, though the best would probably be having those intertwined anyways
