What feature are you most hoping for in 2.4......and why?

A total rework of all the professions other than combat.

Combat has had enough attention for a lifetime.

It's time FDev spent some time fleshing out the rest of the games professions and turning this game into what it was supposed to be since day one.

But it's more likely that we will get more pew pew stuff with some sort of marketable fluff being the highlight of 2.4.

NPC Crew other there ;)
more chained/branched missions.
A focus on military careers/missions.

Better BGS (more dynamic and more interesting things to do in system)

Better Combat zones

Better bounty hunting

Better mining

NPC crew

Branching missions

Adding depth to the useless multicrew. At the moment, there is zero reasons to do multicrew apart from a quick bit of fun. That is not compelling gameplay and it will go down the same route as CQC if it isn't made better.

And most of all better exploration tools.

Yep... The kind of stuff I've been hoping for now for TWO YEARS :(


Powerplay - High hopes, found it pointless...

CQC - Seemed pointless to put that effort elsewhere than into the actual game... and bored of it in a week or two...

The Engineers - A reason to do some gameplay elements was nice, but ultimately nothing really added other than a forced arms race which in the end I just got bored of grinding for.

Passenger Missions - No real interest (warm cargo).

SLF - No interest really. Limited use to not really interested. Be far more interested if they'd been put into the game as actual specific fighter mission types (eg: military missions with a wing of NPC or CMDRs) instead of CQC.

Holome - No interest really. Don't really care what a little dot in the ship in a seat looks like.

Multicrew - No interest really. Seems too limited/simplistic generally.

...Two years seems to have flown by! And basically I'm still doing basically the same...

Browse/collect missions from just being in the system. No need to dock. Though delivery missions where you need the cargo and the such would need docking still.
 
NPC wings
Custom HUDs
Proper silent running against NPCs
Gameplay for CQC assets (small pad only, rares, missions)
Proper group mechanics, instead of PowerPlay...
System-wide chat
Non-beige planets
New, better USS and POI mechanics
Faster SC...
 
Atmospheric landings and visual aspects of those "living" worlds, and NPC people milling about... Why? because it seems the tech is completely doable within context of where ED is now and FD's experience with their other title Planet Coaster.

Though without space legs it's nothing more than eye candy.
 
Higher private group cap(allowing the various Mobius groups to be merged)
Some form of more structured combat missions(maybe against aliens, players can join INRA)
Land based combat Zones on landable planets with additional land warfare vehicles(maybe also against aliens)
Densely colonized bodies like Luna, with road on them allow you to do land based cargo missions(off course are pirate vehicles also present near those roads)
Land based bounty missions against those pirates
