What game are you waiting for in 2024?

It's been a good yearly thread and would often inspire me to look at other games. 2023 was a strong year for games that interested me and I have absolutely no clue what might release in 2024.

UBoat: I'm pretty sure they want to finish UBoat and release 1.0. It's been a couple years in EA now but the core was always a good game. Gonna revisit
Starfield: I'm looking forward to DLC and trying mods
Hades II: I suck at these games but the story, music and artstyle in part 1 was great. Probably not going to buy it but it's a recommend from me.

That's it for me. I keep folowing the games in EA, those that just released and check for updates and new DLC. I went through a list of 50 anticipated games and they looked like either console or not interesting to my.
That's were you come in: What is your most anticipated games in 2024?

I'm keenly awaiting:

Light No Fire from Hello Games. I like the graphical style they use, I just wonder if they can, or intend to, weave a story though this particular sand-box.

STALKER 2 from GSC. I have really enjoyed my time in the zone, and am looking forward to another 'Roadside Picnic'.... ;-)

Elite Dangerous [next DLC]. I'm ever hopeful for full flora and fauna planets and surfing the strata of gas giants. (I'm also always disappointed....)

Is Light No Fire due this year already?

Manor Lords

MostIy I need to play the games I’ve already bought but not yet played. I can’t see much change on the ED front, so I can’t see much ED playtime in the future. I’d like to play, but there’s always something else more intriguing and rewarding to play.

Stalker 2

Stalker (and it's mods) is the game I keep coming back to, I know the zone like the back of my hand now. Looking forward to exploring more of it

Manor Lords, that's the builder game with a supposed combat that looks a bit like Mount&Blade battles, right? There is some real hit potential there. I'll keep that in mind.

I'd forgotten Manor Lords, and am still kicking myself for missing the limited-time demo despite it being on my wishlist. Oh well!

I keep meaning to get back into Kingdom Come: Deliverance. It's one of those games that I like, yet somehow I can't seem to get fully immersed into. I'd better get on as a sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance is seemingly expected although with nothing confirmed nor even hinted at yet... so.... \o/

Though one.
I've yet to play the big hitters of the '23 so... no idea.

I still want to play Starfield - i want it discounted* at least 50% percent so please, more negative reviews to it.
I also want BG3, and I still have CP2077 purchased but not even installed yet (although i still have to get the PDLC)

*(not because i cant afford the full price, but i dont think it's worth it, not even half the price, for the overhype they had. I mean, generally speaking, €70-€100 for a game - it's really pushing it and i dont find it normal at all. I usually draw the line at 50 tops, but meh - even the Switch games are getting above 50 these days)

I still have to purchase the Phantom DLC to CP2077. I just played the vanilla game so often ... I also have to start a fresh PT with all the reworks, but there is only so much times you can have Jackie die on you...

Hellblade 2, if you haven't played Hellblade then in my personal opinion you really need to give that a go .
Hellblade was a strange one. Finding out combos by chance. I'm not a fan of the Souls type but I found this one manageable. Gave me stress though. Best depiction of Goddess Hel I've seen yet.

I loved the puzzles they made me have to sit and think about them , the combat side was hectic but I really enjoyed the whole game and did play it again just try and find all the stones. I would preorder Hellblade 2 in a heartbeat.

Yeah, and they weren't so special you needed to look up the solution. The only thing I looked up was how to fight the wolf and it was just spam attack or so and so I did that. In the end I charged into enemies because I had mastered running charge attack.

Mass Effect 5
(I liked ME:A so I hope 5 is better; I never played 1,2,3)

GHPC and SB2 (updates)
These are both EA titles I currently play. They're both very good and ripe for upgrades. I hope SB2 specifically is released open to Mods. It would be marvelous imho.

SF mods. I don't have it yet but I will one day.

I'd like to see another WWII surface ship to ship combat sim with air assets and minimal sub presence. In comparison, something like a Armored Warfare vs GHPC for graphic differences; ... with naval combat. WoWs vs _____... ?

I've considered reacquainting with ED. I started playing a couple months before release in Dec. 2014. I stopped playing a month or so after fleet carriers were introduced; June 2020. A lack of immersion was my gripe from the beginning.
Can you get up from your captain's seat and walk around the bridge (or more) for ships like Type10s or Anaconda?
Are copilots sitting in seats ?

ED is so amazing because of its PG model of our Milky Way Galaxy.

Is this vid^^ a fair review of ED's current condition ?
Watching it makes me miss the ED galaxy even more.

GHPC is starting to gel. Lase n blaze is getting fun.
... unrelated but, Has anybody heard of Gunsmith Simulator ?

Burr always manages to show the best of EDO and is definitely glass is half full ( no bad thing ) . I think your best bet is have a go in and have fun and make up your own mind . As for ship interiors have had nothing since you last played .

The trilogy is a pretty good ride storywise. Gameplay wise it's a clear evolution. ME3 culminated with pretty crisp, visceral combat - at least in MP.

Have a look at Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts. It's ship to ship tacticals under a strategic global campaign layer, similar to Total War. Battles real time, fleet management and movement strategic map. Subs are simulated on campaign map. Battles are pure ship to ship - no planes either. You can start 1890 and play through 1950 or so doing all the evolutions of ship designs. Designs are done by yourself and dependant on nation you pick and tech tree unlocks. You manage research, funds, shipbuilding, training and to a lesser degree diplomacy. Still in early access, but quite ripe. Biggest annoyance is the calculations in between turns - the AI calculates and builds its own designs. With "different" outcomes.
Battles are fairly realistic, you get what you design, including shell types. Overpen, incendiary, etc. You can go for BBs or "jeune école" with light ships and torpedo rushing (feels like cavalry charge a bit) in smoke screen. Set-piece battles can also be played. Has a rudimentary weather system but I believe Naval Action (MMO by the same studio) has a better one.

There is also War on the Sea for WWII action in Pacific. There is subs but you can deactivate enemy subs in options. They tend to spawn onto you and fire a spread within the first minute. A pain for a fleet formation and the UI is a pain, too. Look at that if you want to see dive bomber planes in action.
