What GPU do you have in your PC?

And how does this perform? I've been thinking about getting one.

I got one, and it performs fine. I get 60 fps in most space flight circumstances, 40 in orbital flight and 30 in the SRV. Planets do a noticeable 'coming into focus' as I approach them, but that doesn't bother me.

I know this might not be the place but since we are talking about GPUs I thought I'd seek some advice.. So I have a 660 which is in serious need of replacing, not just for ED, but for other games. So the obvious replacement would be a gtx 970 (I'm not doing AMD for reasons which should be obvious) but then I think well maybe the 980, and then well then I might as well go for the 980ti.. I don't mind spending the cash but I wonder when would be the optimum time to buy in light of possible price reductions as the year goes by.

At the back of my mind I also think I might want to get a Vive.. I could manage without VR but even though a total solution might cost a few bob I don't tend to treat myself elsewhere in life with boozy nights out etc.. So why not.. hehe

Thoughts?

EVGA 750ti SC 2gb. 1920x1080. 100-120 fps in space, 40-50 on planet. Mostly high/ultra but with the odd fps hog like shadows on medium.

Medium settings really? Surely you are over estimating the fps.. I have a better card and it struggles particuarly with two planets rendered..

Hi Cosmos,

I may not be the most bias user when it comes to video cards but I'd go with one of the EVGA 980s... the FTW or Classified would be my first picks and looks like NewEgg is running a sale...

Comparison Link, hope it works... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...$$$;14-487-084:$$$$$$$;9SIA24G3RH4920:$$$$$$$

Started with Asus GTX 760 2GB, game ran fine, no problem. Few days ago i upgraded to a Asus GTX 970 OC 4GB. Works fine too.

I don't suppose it's practical to keep track of SLIed and CrossFired setups?

Assuming a person that is using these kinds of setups as only having one card doesn't accurately reflect the performance capabilities of a computer system, nor provide meaningful feedback to the devs, especially considering that the game can take advantage of these kinds of setups.

It's very important to me that this game can take advantage of SLIed cards and doesn't load up on one GPU only as that would throw off how many tasks I can effectively simultaneously run per card in the background while gaming.

More specifically, and as I already mentioned, I use two Titan Black cards to run the game (among other things), not one, and their performance potential is not the same as using one.

Sorry if this creates more work in maintaining these figure demographics, but it is a very important and relevant factor to consider.

Gigabyte R7 370 2GB Windforce. 60fps (v-sync on) 1080p performance paired with a FX6300 @ 4.1ghz and 8gb 1866mhz ram. Shadows high, blur off, bloom off, Supersampling x1.0. Everything else maxed out. It was only £15 more than a 750ti and much higher specced. A good entry level gaming card for those on a tight budget... I had to build my son a FX8320 and GTX 960 rig also and I'm poor. :/

2 x GTX 770 2gb in SLI
Let's get weird

Strangely, I have to have the planetary settings on low in order to get decent (above 45) frames when landing and scouting in the SRV... :(

Sounds about right to me. I have a EVGA 750 Ti SC 2gb. Never drops below 35 fps on planets/settlements, 40+ in Orbital cruise.. 1080p with everything on Ultra, SMAA & AO on. Vsync on. Locked at 60 fps in space.

For some reason the 750Ti seems to work well with Horizons. I got a slight FPS improvement after uninstalling Geforce Experience. I was going to upgrade to a 950/960 for Horizons, but I don't find the need as the card woks great.

Highly recommend the 750Ti for those on a budget!
