Try the 16.1.1 Hotfix drivers especially if you are on W10![]()
My advice is wait if you can keep your wallet closed... Both Nvidia and AMD have new chips coming out this year. Both are going to be a big improvement on what is out now...![]()
I'm going to wait a year. I might even wait till Volta before upgrading. My advice is wait if you can keep your wallet closed... Both Nvidia and AMD have new chips coming out this year. Both are going to be a big improvement on what is out now...![]()
Smart. As much as I am itching to "upgrade" my 290 (non X) the fact remains that I can still peg my monitor at 75fps and the worst I seem to drop is down to 55 - 60ish and that is under the most severe circumstances. Having a freesync monitor helps as well.My advice is wait if you can keep your wallet closed... Both Nvidia and AMD have new chips coming out this year. They always have new improved chips coming, but you have to buy at some point. I'm getting mine now as the best time to buy anything retail is Jan / Feb. Prices may rise again once demand picks up (When the Vive/CV1 is released and everyone suddenly wants one) and the costs on the new tech cards will certainly not be cheaper than what I just paid. There is no guarantee that the new cards will not have 970'ish type issues. The 980 Ti I picked up is a solid performer, well rated and a decent price. It isn't the best, but it is within my budget and more than I need for now.My advice is wait if you can keep your wallet closed... Both Nvidia and AMD have new chips coming out this year.
