I am pretty sure the 1.5 ships update was pretty much universally liked, because all it was, was more ships.
And who doesn't like having more ships?
That's probly about it though. Maybe station interiors, because it was a feature that should have been in at release.
Come to think of it.... mostly, the things that should have been in at release (going by what is included in most games by default) are the things people tend to like the most.
Station interior variation, the ability to actually make your character, having a decent array of ships, multiplayer support (which still isn't really fully implemented! but took an entire patch to even HAVE a mechanic to join up with other players, yep, 1.0 didnt even have "wings" mental ain't it?)
But yeah, base features are what get universal praise.
New shiny "features" tend to get more split opinions.
