What if Azimuth Biotech released a New Ship?

What if Azimuth produced Thargoid-Human Hybrid Vessels?

GalNet - Tesreau Highlights Azimuth’s ‘Inhumanity’ - 27 July 3308

“It’s unsurprising that Salvation’s focus is now on HIP 22460, given this system has long been part of Azimuth’s sinister legacy. On planet 7c is the abandoned settlement Fort Asch, where unlicensed scientists performed monstrous experiments to link human minds with Thargoid vessels. We know from Project Seraph’s sole survivor, known as Subject D-2, how brutal the results were.”

GalNet - Thargoid Salvage Operation Requires Resources - 28 July 3308

“Once the Proteus Wave has eliminated the Thargoids, the second phase of our corporate strategy will commence. As per our agreement with the Alliance, Empire and Federation, Azimuth Biotech is licensed to collect limited quantities of any remaining non-human material in the HIP 22460 system. The powerless Thargoid vessels will be taken to specialized laboratories for examination, and the subsequent results shared with the superpowers’ military intelligence divisions.”

If all goes well, Azimuth Biotech will not only contain classified information regarding human-thargoid link technology, they will also contain the resources to analyze & produce said vessels. I believe this would add a new fresh element to Elite Dangerous that players have been longing for, and it would fit well within the lore of the universe. It could be a variation of the Scout, as that was originally obtainable in one of the older Elite titles. I am willing to be brutalized if it means I can fly a new ship :D

That would be really great, but not a scout - that should be something bigger.
Or a mixed human-tharg vessel perhaps

Scout would be the obvious choice. The interceptors are incredibly strong to be a player ship, and I can't imagine trying to dock one. Maybe they're hinting at a new ship entirely, but I hope this doesn't mean a "Cobra Mark Xeno", basically an existing ship with some green crusty gubbins bolted on to make it look alien.

Scout is extremely easy to defeat even with conventional weapons. So is the cyclops, it can be just clicked to death with shards, no even need to exert hearts. Although it requires special weaponry. So, it is not something ultimate or overpowered.
As for minor hanges to existing vessels - "Cobra Mark Xeno" - I can agree, it is useless in the game

It would be an interesting thought experiment as to if you could pilot a Tharg Interceptor as to....where the hell do you land it?

It can only get through a mailslot sideways and I assume pads would be too small- so it could only refuel at barnacle sites, and land on moon surfaces (which...would be very cool). It might also have the ability of portal jumps as an alternative to FSDs (but not upgradeable).

In order to feel "alien", the controls will be weird, and normal bindings will not work.
In fact it will not support throttles, sticks or controllers, but rather strings that will have to be typed (no voice activation) using one's elbows and precision facerolling on multiple keyboards.

An optional guitar would be required to pilot an Interceptor.

This is like.....every time I load the game :D

Bongos or maracas for a Medusa. Shake the maracas for Samba Thargons, rapid bongo bapping for the lightning / regen health.

These are the words of one who understands immersion.
