(I am not saying this should be done in this game, but am wondering if it would work better, as a general rule, in a space game like this one)
Would the desirability of small ships be largely fixed if small ships tended to jump farther than larger ships?
A Hauler therefore might have a fully upgraded range of 150 light years. The sidewinder, maybe, 115. Then the jump ranges would be buffed going down the list of ships to the heaviest but less so as they got heavier,, until the heaviest ship, which would be unchanged.
I am not saying this would work in this game but am only curious what people think about smaller ships jumping further.
Also, what if you did start the game in a ship with one of the best jump ranges. A sidewinder with a fully upgraded range of 115 light years?
