What if small ships jumped the farthest?

Gotta disagree, it has a crap top speed, a crap jump range, and out of the box the only thing it has going for it is agility.
It's a warship that cannot dictate anything in a fight.

When it comes to keeping your target in sights, its agility that counts more than anything else. A big sihp like the Corvette should not be piruoetting like a ballerina.

There should be always a a good case for using turrets on big ships over fixed/gimballed.

There again, i can make a case for turrets on small ships.

Anyway, nerf the Corvette!

They can nerf the Corvette as soon as they kill the ability to stack shield boosters.

I would suspect to achieve an enormous jump range, you would need an enormous drive to harness all the extra energy.

I would just like there to be CZs that are suitable for Small Ships.

Everything takes so long to kill in CZs it doesnt matter if you can out manoeuvre them, even Vipers take ages if all you have is a pair of size 1s.

it isn't the fast past dog fight you would hope for when it is small vs small, and just sand papering the enemy to death in small vs Medium/Large CZ NPCs

I miss the feeling and game play invoked by the original Eranin vs Federation CZ when in an un-engineered, no HRP, not even C rated Sidewinder, you were a nimble fighter in a melee with the Enemy fighters dancing among the big ships

Technically not true, the Argent's Quest(Turner class ship) was a large ship with a class 4 military drive. :p

It was also a cheating ship with a nonsense Gross Mass of 29 tons to give it a extreme jump range with the Class 4 Drive and as so should never be used as an example of anything standard, and conforming to the rules established by the game which all other ships had to confine to.

Basically it could hold 50% more than the Anaconda yet was considered the mass of 50% more than a Cobra

Kind of like how the Anaconda in Elite Dangerous' when empty is the a mere 10% more than mass as TWO empty Viper MkIV and less than TWO empty Vultures.

When that is pictured next to each other it is quite absurd
